Turn off "No Swearing" kick.

k, this is getting ridiculous. Why do I get kicked from servers, for my first and only infraction, for swearing, in a game where I am shooting people with assault rifles and machine guns? I mean, I would understand if I said "f*ck you admin!", but it has gotten to the point where half the servers I join, I cant say hell/damn/***. So, I propose that we remove the kick/ban part, but server owners/admins can still kick/ban at their discretion.

Thoughts? Flames?

Because a lot of the ones that play our MA rated game are in fact a lot younger than that and we are not allowed to teach them any more bad language than they allready know.

Valid point, but my stance on that, is that if they are on the internet, playing a game called Battlefield 2, I am pretty sure they have been exposed to swearing.

they are allowed to see and hear 30 odd men be blown to bits with ,machine guns and C4 , but **** is still a shock horroer game to them

Because server admins think that the language in video games is completely new to all players and that if we use it, they will be influenced and start too.

I am all for this game being as realistic as possible. With that in mind I am certain that a few F bombs get thrown around in a real fire fight. Not to mention those other horrible words like S__t and H__l and the real big one Dam_ !!!

language is enforced because the ROE states..

Examples of such rules that are acceptable are:

(a) Players may not use explicit, offensive or racist language in-game.

(b) Players may not impersonate clan members or other server administrators.

this is an optional rule that may be set, while I agree some admins take it a bit far. They are well within their rights to do this on their server..

There's a reason why it's rated T. Jeez, DICE should've put blood in so it'd be bumped up to M, and then the only kids playing the game would be the ones whose parents drink themselves to sleep every night. For example, search on youtube for something like "crazy playing bf2" and click on the one that's like Crazy 10 year old playing bf2, that's the kind of kids that would be playing BF2 if it was rated M.

I agree with having langauge enforcements. But I wouldn't rate "damn, hell, bloody" as being too strong.

One of the "raison d'etre" of almost all 10-13yro boys is to be a potty-mouth. Except a lot of them just use the swear words without knowing their true meaning/usage. So if they hear a new swear word they'll use it with abandon and think it's "cool"....like that 10yro in the YouTube video.

Well it don't really matter to me if I get kicked for saying something wrong otherwise all in all its there server
