Grenade throwing > effective weapon range
Yes it is rant day for me
You've all been there, you're prone and firing at a target who is bunnyhopping like a mad man, throwing nades your way.
The funny thing is, with these rubber-bullet weapons, it takes longer for you to kill someone then it takes them to throw a nade. Part of that is the distance involved.
How many times have I died from a grenade that was tossed further than the effective firing range of my weapon? While my proned->scoped->short burst *** is trying to take him out (and the bullets fly everywhere else but the target). I see an unbelievably long throw of a nade that lands on my head and <boom> I'm dead.
This has happened to me as a sniper too, where you'd think range is an advantage... No, it isn't. If the nade doesn't quite reach you (though many still do) a quick jump->dive->prone with the PKM will provide a superior snipe that again ends in my death. Fun fun fun.
Now we all know why nades are so prevalent and used in the game - because they are more effective than the weapons. So effective that a bunnyhopping nade tosser will end the round with triple the score I do - I'd do it myself but nading is hella boring.
EA has dropped the ball in some many respects in this game it's crazy...
I like BF2 and still play it, but now it's just a matter of 'playing the game until the ******** is too overwhelming" then I leave it for awhile.
