Re: Grenade throwing > effective weapon range
[QUOTE=metallicaguitrst]Yeah and in real life... dust doesn't come out of peoples heads when you shoot them... bullets don't just go through people either.. In real life, guns shoot where you aim them... In real life you don't have a view distance of 100m-600m.../QUOTE]
I believe in my post I said specifically it was just a game, I only said that in RL grenades have bigger explosion radii because he was complaining about the throwing distance. I was not saying the game was realistic, I was actually proving the exact opposite. So no need to attack me about this, I was the one saying it is just a game.
To address the problems you refer to, they wanted it to be a T rated game, so they could not have blood and brains flying everywhere when you headshot someone, regardless of how cool that would be.
The accuracy and hitdetection issues are a problem, but think of it this way, it makes up for the lack of your breathing or rolling around on the ground messing with your accuracy, since they did not put a breath mechanism in the game, and proning does not seem to do much to it at all, as it should. I know if I took my 30.06 out right now, ran around for a while, and jumped to the ground and shot, I would probably not hit exactly where I was aiming at, so I just make DICE an excuse and say that is why the hitdetection and accuracy are messed up.
A lot of times your view distance will be limited to the measurements you specify, and sometimes you can see much, much further. I could go to an open field in North Dakota, and I could see very very far. Conversely, I could go to a foggy, or dusty desert city, and would not be able to see far.
