From what I've seen, most players using the SVD really suck. I'll be walKing in a straight line and a sniper (using the SVD) would try to snipe me but misses 90% of the time. Also, a lot of people who use the SVD really don't take the time to aim, which makes them a horrible shot.

i think its the rapid fire, along with the hit marker...

i havent noticed a hit marker on the other sniper rifles, even when i do get hits...

Well it is a good gun may need a few bullets to take the person down but it is a good close range gun and with some practice it is a good gun.

1. As someone has already said on this forum, a headshot with the M95 is just as killing as a headshot with an SVD. You get 60 headshots per kit with the SVD, 30 with the M95. (I got 6 headshots in a row from the roof of the palace on Warlord on a squad attacking the palace)

2. It's not all that bad in close quarters, adn it's good for shooting down hallways.

3. Shoots fast. If you miss its not wait 5 seconds to reload and find the target again, its just pop off another shot.

I take it over the M95, I think it's a great gun even with bad crosshairs.

the svd is the mec auto sniper isnt it? i find that one "ok", but the chinese draganov or something is the better of the 2, i get hs after hs after hs with it.
if u dont think people can be good with them... should i make a video ?

when you shoot, hold the mouse button and it wont reload and you will see the hit indicator. if you dont see it... then you didnt get a hit :)

hold the fire button a bit longer, you can see hit markers while in zoom mode

The recoil is horrible, thats why I stick with the L96A1. The recoil it self can let you shoot a rat on the ground one second and shoot the space shuttle out the sky the next.

yeah...since rats and space shuttles are so abundant in this game right???...just playin, i know what you're talking about

I should try the SVD tonite and play more "battle sniper", since that class and the medic are fast becoming the frontline assault classes of choice.

sometimes i can get three head shots in 4 seconds so there ya answer

and i am using it for assualting taking flags as a sniper:hmm:

also i think after a while you get tired of running and noobing at 5 meters so you end up a marksman because it takes real skill

LoL, I kind of agree. Sorry man. The recoil is not that bad. Wait half a second after a shot and fire again. There are crazy snipers out there. :locked: :banana:

The SVD is great. I dont have any issues with recoil, it take only a fraction of a second to put right on the mark.

Certainly more efficient than bolt action.

Semi-autos are made for IO. That's why people use them there. On ALL other maps than Jala, Karkand and maybe Mashtuur people use non-autos.
