Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
Um, it IS an unoptimized piece of ****, atleast the engine is. At its peak, the engine requires 900MB of memory, which is just insane for what it is trying to render.
And you are acting like you don't understand what the above quote from his post means. Let me help you out a bit. POS is an acronym for "piece of ****". While he didn't say it was a piece of garbage, one could infer that calling something a piece of **** is basically the same thing. Now run along and take some english comprehension classes before coming on this forum and pretending to be the morality police.

Wow, scroll up a little, e-thug. Check your response and his quote. You didnt quot ehim on optimization. You quoted him on this-
But I was absolutely dissapointed in every aspect of the game. Everything was a severe let down. Planes, helicopters, infantry...the whole thing was just terrible.
I see you disagreeing with him on his OPINION. Yet you roll on in like a roughneck with some kind of crap about optimization, or sh!tty optimization.
I didnt think people would suffer from memory leaks.
Back on topic: I dont know, BF2 can be the best game ever at times. But other times, it can be horrible. I do think, overall, that 2142 is better, but thats just my opinion.
i think project reality is awesome.....sure no one likes waiting to spawn....but i think it makes ppl wanna stay alive longer, and value their lives...whereas in vanilla, no one cares if they die as long as they get some points..
Eh, different strokes. I love this game. I have a great clan, play in a great clan server that's always populated, lots of teamwork, good sportsmanship, map rotation, etc. Don't go near 24/7 pub servers, particually of the Karkand/Wake variety.
To OP, can't say I agree after I went back and played a bit of '42 a couple days ago and I missed so many of the BF2 features that I didn't stay more than a round. My system plays BF2 as well as my old one did '42 so I have no complaints there. And not having squad access, VOIP, ground effects etc.. took away too much that I'm now accustom to.
Every piece of battlefield will be dead except 1942 because thats the best battlefield game that ever lived, once Quake Wars arrives it will be the best site I will ever see. =D

I purchased BF2 Deluxe yesterday for $55AU. It'll arrive in a few days.
I have been playing the demo for about 18 months now, yep, the same level.
I couldnt bring myself to hand over full ticket price, or anything near it, as I felt the game was a buggy mess.

BF2 sucks on many, many levels. But I have not stopped playing it and still enjoy it on a regular basis when I have time. Yes, it is over bloated and under optimized. Yes it is very comic book like in game movements. The guys are interesting in their behaviors. Mapsizes and player amounts are really nothing to write home about...but it is still a fun game if you take out all the little BS stuff everywhere.
It is a sideshow away from more serious games. DiCE missed the boat in so many areas and we have all complained about it up and down over a year and half. But we all know its limitations. Yeah, for the weight of the game, it should have had 512 players and a million unlock options. But again, DiCE is not Id or Valve.
1942 was a POS when it first came out. It was very prone to crashing. It was a fun game and it was the mods that ended up giving it the largest range.
BF2 finally has MODs worth looking at to extend the life of the engine and its story may be painted like it older sister, 1942.
Sorry you did not like it. There are many of us here that are waiting for QuakeWars and Armed Assault. Something to really give the gaming industry a kick in the pants.
