I have a question, and it might be noobish but anyway. I'm new to this whole online gaming thing. I love playing BF2, and am starting to develop some skill at it. When I first started playing several players refered to the BF2ROE. I went out, looked at it and it makes perfect sense to me. It would seem to help keep game play fun and more or less fair.

It was my understanding that ranked servers agreed to run their games in accordance with the ROE. Here lately though it seems like ranked servers do what ever they want. I have played on ranked servers that advertise spawn camping, base raping and jihad are acceptable. These servers seems to be nothing but a stat pad arena for the clans that run them, and they ridicule anyone who complains.

So whats the story here, just avoid these servers, report them to EA, or what? Personally I think a clan doing nothing but base raping your one start control point over and over and over, running up like 300 to 0 scores is just crap to me, and I dont see how its fun for anyone.

Ok, 1st and only mistake, going into a Clan server.

when you load up your list type in Insomnia365 and pick a map, BFROE admins these servers and its 100% legit, you dont get kicked for team switching or you dont get kicked if you get a jet/heli..unlike clan servers

I dont mean to sound like I'm crying, because I do exactly what was suggested earlier and go find some place else to play. I just hate the fact that when I went to this server before (many times) that it had a great rotation, low ping for me, and a good group of players would show up to play and it was great.

Now there is almost always 2 full squads from the sponsor clan raping the uncap from almost the first moment, and all they do is booby trap the spawn points while their CO rides around the uncap in a tank. I mean try as you might you cant do anything... just ruins the server, is no fun to pay at all, and I dont see how it is for them either except for huge points.

I had asked about the ROE because I thought raping an uncap was against ROE, I stand corrected.

Fortunately there are other places to play.

BTW I've almost never player Karkland. Since I've run into this problem I mostly play Gulf of Oman, or my favorite Warlord SF server. I'm trying to play night maps too, but man thats hard!

I used to play A LOT. And from that time I have two accounts with all unlocks and three with all except one. With the first account, I kept my stats on eye and cared about badges and things. Then I found myself 3am looking for a server running Daqing Oilfields so I could go and rape everyone with F-15 or full Karkand server to go medic whoring and get the last 400 points quick to rank up again and get even more badges.

With the last account I've not even looked it's stats. I rarely use unlocks and to tell you the truth, standard weapons are the best. I can say I've "grown up" in BF. And I don't give a **** if someone statpadds to get some badge earlier than me.

Whatever, ROE could kill BF2, not help it.

I couldn't agree more in all ways possible. Stats, imaginary rules and even more, the I'll report you-attitude has made a lot harm to BF. People ***** about everything instead of relaxing and playing. And if they don't someone comes and ruins everyones day by cheating or glitching inside wall or whatever. And I blame stats and ROE for this.
