    Give me a Huey please...

Why EA/Dice didn't put a Huey based model such as the 212 or 412 in this game has boggle my mind since the first week I purchased the game.

How could they leave out a good solid dust-off/medevac like the infamous Huey?

They already have the Medic class, they shoulda' bumped it up a notch. It woulda' been sweet to be able to fly a medevac and actually get points for evacutaing wounded soldiers from battle.

Or they could have been used as Forward Air Control for commanders. Commanders wouldn't fly, so much as use the chopper as a safe haven and recon post being able to observe the battle from above.

I hate the Blackhawk. It's too big and clumsy. Too slow.

I've seen mods with the Oh-58 Kiowa's and A-Stars. Anything with Hueys?

You want to be commander...in a chopper with no defense? So the J-10's and things of the sort can blow you out of the sky every 3 minutes? Good plan!

Did you not read the part where I said...

A crew would fly the chopper while the Commander is seated in the chopper and commands with a birdseye view. It's more realistic than the queer little mini-map with the Commander screen.

And not every chopper pilot gets shot down by fast movers dude. Ive had rounds where jets can't even touch me. And Ive had rounds where I can't get off the carrier. But everyday is different.

Edit - Do you even know what FAC is?

*looks at where he is from* I'm pretty sure I know

And it's still taking a big chance keeping your commander in the air

And your problem lies with the word realistic, vBF2 was never and will never be realistic so its not worth trying to promote a realistic game set, try the mods PRMM would be your best bet.

And as the other guy said it will get nailed 9 times out of 10 by enemy aircraft.

Re: Give me a Huey please...

I've seen people on these forums make weight comparisons to guns in game...

This is a little more practical.

                Especially the medevac.

I can understand if you don't agree with the FAC idea. Of course, it'd be a challenge with fast movers. But it would also be pretty damn cool and give more of a purpose to the game. Atleast the pilot(s) would have an objective other than capturing flags and giving aerial artillery support.

You can't tell me having the option to be a Medevac pilot in this game is a far fetched or stupid idea.

Right...but that was my view...that putting a commander in the air...crew or no crew...is going to severley take away from his ability to command, because he will be getting blow out of the sky...fast movers...attack choppers...AA...lucky AT guys...everything...as for the medavac...decent idea...but your not "Critically wounded" for very long....it might be tough to get to people before they die

Depends on the server I guess. 16-22player servers using 64man size maps might work out.

Ive been in a lot of games on Wake Island where I'd be stranded, wounded. Never seems to be many medics on that map, on the Island for the most part.

Ive used the Attack choppers and utility choppers to help heal people as a medic, which I suppose is on the same basis but I need the Huey factor. Let's say a squad could call in for a medevac. You buzz in, take out the wounded. Fly a pattern around the area, the previoulsy wounded, now healed can jump out and get back to the fight.

I agree, Huey's or the Bell 412 would have been better IMO.. like them way more then the Blackhawks. Not sure If I totaly agree with all your ideas though.. the medivac would be awesome. I remember EOD having something similar where if you were on it then you would get healed. The whole commander thing I just dont see working as you would be shot down really fast. Might work in maps like Mashtuur or Shanghali Stalmate.

I already played Bf:V for like 3 years. I've had enough of that.

The choppers feel like they are sliding on ice. Can't bank a turn without usin' pedals to stop you from slipping/skidding.

                              EOD?
