Why is it people always say stupid stuff to fix claywhoring,like this "You should be able to shoot it" -.- As many of you know you can not shot C4 to make it go boom, you have to use a charge. Well I am sure 90% of you didnt know that claymore is C4, it is basicly a C4 mine with 700 spherical steel balls infront of it.

ty I have known for a while, i try to make one once... My rear wall was a steel plate and front was plastic.... Didn't work so well...

In real life it would easyly kill somebody over 50m and hit people at 100. But knowing battlefield with there 3 foot nade damage area... lol

the big diffrence is that if you are going to blow up your C4 to kill someone you need to be paying attention. With claymores you can just leave it there and run off and do something else. thing that frustrates me is that they are very sensitive.

I like Claymores. When left alone they're simulated booby traps. Kind of adds more realism to the game.

Oh and anyone who says you can't use a claymore as a booby trap doesn't know what he's talking about.

BF2 isn't about realism.

If being able to shoot claymores to get rid of them enhances gameplay, I say put it in.

I think claymores are fine how they are in the game. However one thing that bugs me is say, i crawl around a corner and see a claymore. I think shet ive gotta get out of here, its not until i move that it goes off. But why didnt it go off when i first moved infront it? They only ever seem to kill me if i make eye contact with them as well.

Ye but claymores dont need a detanator you can die and still get a kill if someone trips it and c4 may have more and posably a smaller radious still claywohreing is better then c4 whores.

Well yes, you can use one as a booby trap...but you have to be in the immediate area to use it....they are remote detonated....you have to push the button...

What is not stupid about claymores already. They can be throw down and land perfect every time. They self activate. They are set off by a motion sensor but only for enemy. You can pick them up with an adjustable wrench. Why would shooting them be so far off from any of the above statements. It is about balance not realism. If shooting them is not real enough for you. You might wanna look at the rest of the claymore issue.

shooting them wouldnt work if they are placed in a smart way, like this:
