Nice job on the manual. I especially like the distance view chart!!! I love sniping and found the chart very useful in picking long distance sniper hiding spots with the longest viewable range.

Does anyone have the distance information on the SF maps. I mainly play on those now, but might go back to vanilla BF2 to have some more fun with the long range shots.

My best shot has to be sniping the driver out of a moving heli and see the helicopter crash and burn with the gunner thinking "WTF IS GOING AWN!~!~@?"

And then the driver called me a hacker afterwards, i was flattered.

I made a fog/view for Special Forces and added \ server to the Vanilla fog/view localization reference ...

Jemme101 is their fog in those SF maps or what. I went on a local server and was scoping around, and DAMN you can barely see the end of your rifle in some of those Special Forces map. Again, thanks for the great charts.

There is always fog on the maps. I creates a smoother transition between seeing everything and nothing in BF2. The night maps in SF are the same, but can be difficult to acquire targets in. Just try working a routine again in scanning before getting shots in on target.

very nice guide,

easy to read and understand.

If you are updating, then consider adding a section on spotting, and maybe uses of snipers in squads, if you think they are appropriate.

I've been sniping since the first game came out, so about 2 years.

I really cant stand shooting people between 2-4 times with the sniper rifle to kill them. they just dont die!!!!

They need to make the weapon have more hit damage cause it gets stupid at times. maybe its the servers i play on and it doesnt register- but its annoying as hell when your shooting at somone from a distance and it hits them and they just dont die..

Just yesterday I hit the pilot through the glass of the attack helo while I was
on a crane in Dalia Plant. It was great watching it tank taking the gunner down too. hehe.

Nice tips. Once spent an entire round posing as some grass on the top of a small hill in Highway Tampa. 5-6 vehicles passed me by inches and never noticed. Only got three kills though, so maybe next time I could move around a little.
