I have an AMD XP2400, ATI Radeon XT1600 Pro(512mb) and 512 megs of ram. I know the vc can handle the graphics but it gets choppy and I am really getting frustrated!!! Do I need to upgrade to more ram or what?? What do you guys think?

Hey thanks! I just ran the test and it said everything passed. It did say that I should upgrade to 1gig of RAM so thats what Im gonna do. Actually I think I might get 2 gigs considering memory isnt that expensive anymore.Comment

Anyone can tell you that Battlefield 2 is unplayable on 512 MB of ram.
Shoot for atleast a Gig, If you have the money get 2 Gigs.Comment

RAM would help in your case. Try 1GB.
As for personal experience, it's hard to tell, because I went from Athlon XP 3000+, Radeon 9800XT, 512 MB RAM to Athlon 64 3800+, Radeon X1600PRO and 2GB RAM in a single upgrade (sold old PC and bought a new one)
EDIT: A small tip, if you are looking for another hardware upgrade, especially for the long "Verifying Client Data" thing, try a SATA Harddisk.Comment
