I have a P4 2.6, 1GB RAM and a X1600 PRO and I run BF2 on 1280X1040, all MED settings, 2xAA and 4x AF.

You can speed up your computer quite a bit by disabling some of your services.
You'll have to decide how far you want to go.

I use the Power user settings with no problems and my computer runs way faster than before.

You can never have too much memory!

You need at least 1.5 gigs to run BF2 at high settings.

I run everything on high on a Sempron 2600+ GF 6600. 1 gig
And that sucks.

I have an x1650 PRO, 256 MB.... And I have 512 ram. And runs fine.
