    Graphics are very good if you think how massive Arma is. As I only play PRM atm I will prolly ditch BF2 and move to Arma.
    I will start BF2 up again from time to time when I feel the need for some teamkilling and goofing around.

    Sry but, when it comes to firefights, tank battles, dogfights etc ArmA kicks BF2`s ***. Hell, even Ofp on steroids (addons) is better at these things.
    Imagine the addons that will be comin out.

    I can`t wait for X-Play`s review on Arma. They will prolly give it 1/5 cause there aren`t any medpacks lying around and you can`t rocketjump.

      Well you got me to log in and give you all my two cents worth.
      To start i have been looking for a whole new game that has the same idea as battlefield so I will most likely be getting AA.But i am not gunna just say bf2 is better just becuase i like it.You can't judge a book by its cover.I have been playing ghost recon advanced warefighter last few days. I love the realism of the game and how you can't turn a coner without being capped in the head becuase your too fast pace. Its a lot better if your a infantry person.Anyway back to AA,I am going to get it when it comes out.I like the idea of a tatical shooter with large maps and a big geomod

        I guess the notion of a fair balanced poll is lost on some people. I cant be arsed to even look into this game, it would have to be pretty special for me to buy it.

              When does the game come out anyway?

              I wonder how AA would look with my computer?
              I play battlefield with all the settings on high.

                There is no demo out as of yet. There will be two. First, a multiplayer demo, and then shortly after, and singleplayer demo. No date has been set in stone, though.

                When does the game come out anyway?
                It's already out in a few countries in Europe, and by the end of November it will be out in more EUropean countries. The rest of EUrope and the UK will get the game in Q1 of 2007, due to a seperate publisher.

                No publisher has been announced for NA yet.

                Without knowing your specs, I can't say. Nobody will be able to play the game with a maxed out view distance AND maxed out visuals.

                The minimum and recommended specs are:

                Minimum Specification:

                * CPU: 2.0 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
                * RAM: 512 MB
                * Graphics card: Nvidia Geforce FX series or ATI Radeon 9500 series or higher (Pixel Shader 2.0)
                * HD space: 1 GB (or more as needed for downloadable addons)
                * Operating system: Windows XP or Windows 2000

                Recommended Specification:

                * CPU: 3.0 GHz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
                * RAM: 1 GB
                * Graphics card: Nvidia Geforce 6800 series or ATI Radeon X800 series or higher
                * HD space: 3 GB (or more as needed for downloadable addons)
                * Operating system: Windows XP

                    Man, I am going to run out of HDD space with all these freaking mods. DesertConflict, PRMM, POE, Battleracer, and now Armed Assault. Jeez, you know how much pr0n that is?

                      It is the spiritual sucessor to OPF.

                      It's made by the same developers.

                      And a lot of people will not like it because of the difficulty.

                        Amen - It's a real man's game

                        No seriously - it's a war simulator, you will die if you don't play as a real soldier
                        I have to resist the urge to buy the German version - I have to see the demo first

                              I LOVED Operation Flashpoint when it came out. I was addicted. And you can tell an OFP player in a server... they can spot an enemy twitch his nose a mile away. OFP trains you to spot soldiers and movement like no other.

                              I'm probably going to shell out for both ArmA and OFP2. I don't know about the status of OFP2 but I've sorta been keeping tabs on development and they both look like they have their charms. I think they're going to be cult classics, not quite the mainstream experience of BF2, but great games nonetheless.
