Halfway across, all I hear is 'crack crack crack' as bullets fly past our heads. An M249 SAW opened fire at the opposite end of the street. I make it across and look behind me as I see one two members of my squad get gunned down and fall in the middle of the street.

I grab a Sniper Rifle and set up on top of a roof overlooking a few streets that the USMC routinely run down. I scan the horizon, and spot a a USMC Grenadier lobbing grenades at a pinned squad below. He sees me, and ducks for cover. He quickly pops up and lobs a grenade in my direction. The shot is so close that my vision blurs, and my hearing becomes muffled. I keep my scope focused on box he is taking cover behind. He pops up, and before he can lob another grenade, a squeeze the trigger and he goes down.

Why anybody plays vanilla BF2 when experiences like that are common in PR, is beyond me.

Jabal al Burj is freaking amazing.
When is the last time you saw a whole squad using military lingo and set up into 2 fireteams? Enuff said PR owns all.

This will probally get moved, but I thought I would let you guys know that I will be opening up a PR server for a little bit with the help of Devfile.

Re: Why PRMM is the best mod.

I agree, the gameplay in PRMM is so dynamic when compared to vanilla. For instance my squad and I (USMC) were at the construction site on Qwai River playing defense, while the rest of the team headed for the last flag. We had a few minutes to gather supplies and get settled in before waves of troops began to hit us. One PLA tank rolled in and killed a few of us, including me. A couple trucks came in about five minutes apart from each other fully laden with troops. They may have had a chance if I didn't kill them all with my anti-tank rocket. In the end only one badly wounded PLA got in the building, but he went down faster than Thai hooker.

        PRMM for life, baby.

Edit: One other thing I wanted to mention. I was browsing through the /mods/pr/levels/ folder and noticed there were some night versions of vanilla maps. Are there any servers that play these? I'd really like to give them a shot.

They are bugged right now. We tried to create our own shaders to make them work better, but there is a bunch of hardcoding in the BF2 shader stuff.

Will be fixed in the upcoming PR v0.41 patch.

                              Im thinking

                              EJOD,Muttrah,Jabal,Fallujah,Op Ghost train

2 rounds each, same sides no switching so people can play on the same squads.

What do you guys think? FF = 100%

God damnit, I really need to get my mic working. Oh well, we'll see how it fares ingame.
