Battlefield 2 Today

Do you think its appropriate to play a war based game on Remembrance/Veterans day? I'm not quite sure what to think of it, after all, alot of people died fighting for our freedom in a war.

It occured to me, that it might not be appropriate afterall, while I was attending a service. The speaker had said that all the veterans he's ever talked to, none of them believed in war, he continued to say that war is not what it seems, its not the way movies, or video games potray it.

What are your thoughts?

I charge $150 for professional advice, but this isn't the place to lie down on the couch... so please keep your personal conflicts out of here.... Just kidding.

I know of several people that refuse to play war games like DC, BF2 and such.. I don't have an issue with it my self as a veteran. I served my country so people could be free to do what they want when they want. If you want to play a game today, please feel free to like it was any other day... Exercising your freedoms is the best way to remember our vets.

My Grandfather went through Gallipolli from the second day. had his 17th birthday there. Then went to Palistine and was part of Bershiba. He wouldn't talk about it at all.

I did 8 years in the Airforce and fortunaly did not have to go to war.
I'm happy for my time to myself these days and often think of those who never got the oportunity to get the freedom to walk down the street without being shot at.

actually they had rememberance day celebrations in the park right beside my apartment this morning. they shot off a cannon a few times and i literally jumped out of my seat as i could feel my building shake as i was playing... it was totally unexpected as i was sniping and it was quiet in my area in-game.
