It's the cyberathlete amatuer league, its pretty big

CAL is the biggest bf2 league in North America.

It's the biggest league for most multiplayer games...css, cs, cod etc etc...

I'm suprised 21CW hasnt come up.

Seeing as everyone is arguing over the way BF2 should be played then I feel the need to put this foward.

30 vs 30 battles (hold 4 slots for admins). 12 hour long battles (players rotate after each round) and its FREE to join.

Intense intel and scrimming on custom maps each week. Set airforce and spec ops teams (specialist tank companies getting more prevailant now). Plus you can play casually or seriously.

I know most division in 21CW allow you to play as long as you can make 2 hours of practice a week. But you can also take it seriously (like I did) and move up the ranks by showing potential, gathering intel and developing strats for new maps etc.

Oh and there are mortars, set bombers and fighters (A10, F16 etc) double zoom sniper rifles, mines that actually sink into the ground and Helos with AA missles. Whats there not to love?

Free to join but does it not require a monthly fee? I have never played it before but I have heard it can be a big headacke controling that many people at one time. In the CAL 8v8 format the strategies are much more refined and the matches more organized. CAL also more competitive and has a higher level of play.
