So I've been playing a Sniper a lot lately.

Does anybody else think that playing a Sniper is pretty darn close to God Mode in this game?

Instant Kill Claymores, a Silenced Pistol, your choice of five awe inspiring sniper rifles (Each one great at it's own situation), and the ability to pick and choose your battles most of the time?

I've never had a K/D ratio so good before... Methinks I may stay with the sniper rifle for a little while longer.

Yeh i love the sniper kit , my K ratio has also went up while using it :p

People underestimate a Sniper with a silenced pistol too.

I can fire that thing almost as fast as a person's automatic weapon. It's also extremely awesome for stealth missions, when you're running into a huge squad of enemies who're bunkered in, and laying a few quick knife kills/pistol kills. I've managed to kill whole squads before they even noticed I was the enemy with those two... (Because snipers all look the same)

And oooooh god the hack whines. I've never gotten this many hack whines with the normal automatic weapons. I swear, I get it literally every game, since my K/D is around the 40:5 region.

I love the in game attention. =D

Nice KDR, if someone is relatively near to you and you get one shot in leaving 2 bars do you switch to pistol to finish them off? Your right about the pistol fire rate, its like a mini mg once you start rapidly left clicking.

SVD jesus its awesome, ive heard everyone on hear go on about it. I usually pull out the L96a1 if i go sniper, but boy have i missed out, the SVD is an assault rifle ffs, carnage!

sniping is fun and u dont die much cuz ur not up front.
for me it brings a new attitude to the game...since i cant get that many kills as a sniper, i just try to hit alot of the enemies with my m95 so my teammates can finish them off...so its like +teamwork

learn to use a pistol ffs, pistol is a very undervauled asset in your arsenal

I love the PLA and the Mec dafault snipers. SVD and the Type-88 (I think?) are both incredibly accurate, and at semi-auto you can't go wrong.

Yeah the pistol is better than most think, i have been 1-1 me with pistol and opponent with rifle, and i have won... all you need is a rapid left click.
The pistol is VERY accurate and if your fast enough can take out some guy with a rifle :)

Well depends I guess cause there is the Snipers that are just or mostly claymore kills and then there is the skilled snipers that are the shooting kind. im a little of both depends on map and what I fell like doing that game.

Claymore's should be used sensibley in my opinion, I just lay one down me for protection.
Anyone can spam a couple of claymore's in allyways for easy kills, but if they do that they just gonna get knifed at the point they are sniping from.
If they had placed that claymore properly they could have got a few extra kills, due to the sneaky knifer getting blown away :)

I'm starting to play Sniper alot more often these days; those type of kills are very fulfilling.

Back when I played SF a lot, and lots of Ghost Town, I used the Pistol first for the 2 bar health reduction and finish them off with 1 round of .308.

Coincidently this was also the point where I noticed how much fun the Sniper kit is. My best runs were on Ghost Town, Devil's Perch, Warlord and Night Flight.

For now I have settled on Gulf of Oman, after having raped Dragon Valley for months :) Other good sniping maps imo are Sharqi Peninsula and Masthuur City (for the short range stuff) and Dalian Plant and Daqing Oilfields.
