Downloaded the demo as I was willing to give EA the benefit of the doubt . Didn't like it and thought the map was pants . I won't be buying it .

When will Ea learn that if they keep kicking this community one day were turn round and kick them back..

I for one have had enough and ill vote with my feet by not buying this or any other bf product again, Ive been around this community since pre 1942 demo days, and ive gradley seen things get worse and worse over time..

This was the final straw for me. I wont ever support another ea or dice product for as long as i game...

Ea + dice have gone a lot futher than biting the hand that feeds them, they bit it stamped on it and then taunted it..IMO

First, I found 2142 boring.. then, I got used to it and liked it. Then I heard about spyware 2142 i startedto hate it. So no, i wont buy it. Anyway, my antivirus wouldn't allow bf2142 to run on my pc

I got a bit further. First; No, I'm not getting it. Then I saw the demos and boy I wanted it. After the demo I was disapointed and now, I'm not getting it. Okay maybe later with some major price reduction I might get it to make BF collection better (1942 missing so it's not perfect)

Pretty similar here dude. The map is ok in Titan mode, but conquest is just boring. The really big downer for me though is that the best part about Titan mode, entering the enemy Titan, is really frustrating because of the drop in FPS. If there's a lot of your team, and the enemy in there, you can kiss goodbye to that smooth framerate.

I also noticed when I played BF2 last night, that running and sprinting is much faster than 2142. Why did they change that?! Everything in 2142 feels slow. The tanks are slow, the walkers are slow, the Titan moves like a snail. Give me a DPV on Mashtuur City any day of the week over this rubbish.

This new game is not anything like Battlefield. Its just a huge joke on us. EA will only listen when you withhold your money. So don't buy this crap game, save your money, and show EA they need to do better next time.

Have been swithering for a while now about whether to download the demo or not. This latest with the ad[spy]ware is enough to convince me not to bother.

It will be some time before I buy an EA product again.

I won't be buying Battlefield: SPYWARE!

Why would anyone buy a game that tracks what you do on your PC and runs unapproved processes in the background?!?!

Shepherd007, if this spyware process won't be built into bf2142.exe, it will be possible to disable it. Just get some decent personall firewall and that's it!

I'll keep playing BF 2 or the BF 2 mods.
But I guess I should say fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me.

I couldn't get the demo to work, so right there I made up my mind not to buy it. When I found out about the spyware, that was icing on the cake.

And most probably the game won't let you in after that.

There is some damage control in a TBF2142 thread: http://www.totalbf2142.com/forums/sh...?t=4180&page=2 (last post) and somewhere on the next page.

However if this is such an innocent gadget then why wasn't that explicitly explained by the EA on their small leaflet.
