We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.

Yup! The browser stinks! I never get an accurate ping. I have logged onto many a server showing a good ping, and then get booted cause when I am actually in the game my ping is too high!! It is not that hard to calculate ping, and to accurately display it.....come on DICE....programming 101 here!

I always get 2 or 3 low ping servers at the top of the list.. the rest are
always 200+ pings. I have to manually click on EVERY server to update
then click on it again to update again. Its a joke.
Someone said its not the only game that does it this way.. I can tell you
I have every major game title release since 1989 and its the only one I have
ever seen that is this bad. Its also the only one Ive seen in the past couple
years that doesnt have mouse functionality. Unreal 99's server browser
came out 7 years ago and makes BF2's look like JUNK. Thats sad.

The bf2 browser is the worst i have ever seen. I think the Dice team would also agree, but making a new one would be too much work, since there is not enough time. 2142 is taking all their time now, they don't care about bf2 anymore.

Yeah I find it hard to believe that sorting out the in-game browser is that difficult. Dice should be ashamed that it falls to 3rd party programmers to rectify their poor programming skills.
The most annoying thing about the browser, in the favorites the supposed "refresh" button. It must have been a typo I swear it was supposed to be "remove" surely.

LOL, I only used it for the first couple weeks I had been playing it, and then went and sought out a thirdparty server locator. Ended up using BF2autoloader and now I use QTracker. Seeing how I only play on favorites, unless I find a friend on some random sever, I normally never use the BF2 browser for anything.

Oh sure, one patch they forced it to update when you clicked on
multiplayer, but the whole browser is junk. First of all, the data is
almost worthless. Ping = 199 (click) Ping = 156 (click) Ping = 78
Thats if it doesnt lock up for 45 seconds when you click on a
server.
Im wondering if EA's main server isnt overloaded causing these
delays. I mean, we live in the 4Ghz processor age, folks. I have
never seen a browser take so long to do one simple task. I have
never seen a browser so pathetic, for that matter.
Anyone know if 2142's browser will be updated, or any better?
