YES!!
It is more accurate (ping wise), and there's 2 types of browsing techniques, Quick and Advanced.
Quick shows all available servers and you cannot make any specific restrictions on your search (ie ping, map, game mode). it will display a red, yellow, or green light for ping (green being the lowest ping). you can still organized your list by clicking on 'game mode', ' map' etc.
Advanced Search is like the BF2 search, only better. So far, i have not seen any 0 ping servers. there is the no vehicle option and i think a new one is "autobalance".
The servers come up really fast now. another great improvement was the loading times of maps, its about 1/4th the time than BF2. Client verification takes about 2-10 seconds.
EA has also included a new login technique. your account can have 5 different 'soldiers' each with their own settings. login takes about 2 seconds.
