Just because arguments get heated doesnt mean we pull our hairs here.

Hey talking is fine by me.......it's the "heated arguments" that fill almost every post that bother me.

It is just a game. I do enjoy playing and I have a lot of fun. Yes some people do appear to need another life sometimes.
I prefer positive feedback as well.

In the past I've seen quite a few members helping others and everytime a new person gets a question answered I think that this site has done it's job. Afterall the main reason of a forum is to help people.

I’m sorry if I did hurt anybody’s feelings with my posts.
It was not my intent. I always enjoy a good debate on this forum and I sometimes choose to participate.
But when someone is flaming another for just using logical arguments on a topic, there is so much a person could take before wanting to get even. I felt like he TKed fair play on this forum. I hate TKers! In the game, on the forums and IRL.
I always TK back a TKer, when he does it on purpose and get his fun from ruining other's. I keep doing it back to him (and better than him!) until he decides to leave or he improves his behavior.
I apologize again.

I try to maintain a level head when discussions begin but frankly, it's hard to interpret emotions over the internet. If someone needs help and I can possibly give them a solution, then I post but for the most part I enjoy the game and playing with my buddies.

Kens point is one to be taken to heart. Text is a very poor vehicle for conveying tone and mood for the writer. You can suppliment this through word choice and structuring but then you are relying on the reader to interpret those things as you intended.

Though there is often a lot of conflict in forum environments I feel that this is a needed aspect as it allows for some really good ideas and perspectives to be developed through the very conflict many find uncomfortable.

Because this is one of the very few places where some people feel they have the balls to think big of themselves.

Flight simulators don't have the element of eliminating other players/killing them/out-ranking them; therefore the competitive streak is lessened. You don't necessarily need to think with your balls to play flight-simulators/fly a plane. (While of course, you can say your flying is better than someone-elses; then again, it's more based on personal bests, more than comparative/ranked achievement).

While BF2 is a combat simulator/FPS that involves shooting/blowing up/running over/stabbing/dropping supply crates on top of enemies, there's a whole other element that allows infinate opportunities for people to get abusive and feel they are better than others.

And of course- on the whole other hand; it is just a game; but some people don't get that because it might just be one of the very few things they are good at or feel competent in, or a place where they feel valued/useful. And also the internet's an opportune place for some people to hide themselves and berate and bully others.

Such people DO exist; but they are the people who make good people seem even better.

I think a lot of it is because theres a lot of kids on the forum, and lets face it teenaged guys with a lot of testosterone and no opposing footy team to vent it on have gotta do something besides downloading pr0n nyaaaa.....

In real life I never lose cool and Im calm as a cucumber. I like to write text which reeks full of negative emotion because I believe this kind of text is most interesting to read. I also like to discuss interestin subjects and arguing makes them even more interesting. Im 21 years old and I am not a virgin. I dont wear glasses and I was an average student at school. And no, I dont like Counter Strike. So 99% of stereotypes you throw at me, are all wasted

I just like to argue, I find it interesting. On forums, in real life, I do it everywhere. I also like to believe that my posts are interesting to read, regardless of the fact whether you agree with me or not.

I agree that it's because the forum is mostly populated by kids, although that isn't the whole story. I also hang out on tomshardare.com, Car and Driver, Tech Republic, etc. and you'll pretty much find the same thing to one degree or another. Ford/Chevy guys fight with the import fans, Intel fanboys fight with the AMD fans. Everyone is an expert, and they're always right.

It's just a cousin to road rage. People are anonymous and live far away, so everyone can talk ****, are experts, can pretend to be something they aren't. Human nature. We wouldn't act this way face to face of course, but out here in virtual land everyone swings a big ****. I find humans pretty amusing.

It wasnt aimed at anyone at all actually, and i do indeed agree that your posts are interesting and i pay attention - except for the one where you posted a link recently, i didnt agree with you doing that. besides that, yeh, not aimed at anyone, unless someone actually fills that description!
