    Re: Claymore solution

The claymore doesn't disappear when its owner dies, it stays there for a certain period of time or until it explodes, regardless of the life or death of the sniper. If they clay a flag, you either have to suicide hoping a medic is around, or not cap the flag. Killing the sniper does nothing to help you take that flag. It's a cheap tactic...

That's not entirely accurate. The claymores eventually disappear once the sniper is killed. It may seem like forever in gameplay, but it's no different than C4 or anti-vehicle mines.

And this is certainly not an issue where we need to recode the game - just pay attention to where you're going, it's not like the claymores are hidden or anything.

            Re: Claymore solution

I think make them destructible would add a cool feature to the game. Imagine a sniper placing one near an entrace and then dropping back and shotting it when someone is close. BOOM!

I really don't have a problem with the way they are now. I would just like the claymores to be either less sensative or consistant. I find myself many times walking like 10 feet from one only to find myself blown to bits. But other times I can walk right by them and nothing happens.

I remember one time at Karkand I had just walk by one (didn't see it) only to hear a big BOOM. I look back and the guy following me had just been blown up. Luckly I was a medic and was able to revive him, but I still thought it was pretty odd.

First off, Id like to say that even though I've been killed by claymores quite a bit, I like it the way it is. I think it ads to the game, I never play sniper (not a good shot). I like the fact that things can be boobytraped.
However if claymores were to be disturctible, I think it should be and Engenier ability
and they should get points for defusing, code it something like only someone with a rench can get close to the claymore, it remains a trap, but if an engenier spots it theres a chance to disarm. It makes snipers be more careful puting up claymores and makes engeniers be more careful spoting them.
                what do u think?

agreed engineers should be able to take them down as they can mines.

won't dignify that with a response.

so, i apologize for being mentally challenged, but how would an engineer go about diffusing a claymore, or any mine for that nature, i never play as one, so i would appreciate some insight.
