Yea, Ive heard your next line 100 times "Red stfu noob". That was it wasnt it. Do you guys read a script or something?
I usually surf the server list and find its about 50/50, you know. It isnt hard to spot the cheaters. Four dead give aways are this. First theres that guy who can solo in the attack chopper and use all the weapons never misses a shot and never looses control of the chopper. Second are the ones who will run right up to you, drop on the ground, roll to the left and fire off 6 shots with thier rifle. Thats right always six shots that never miss. Third are the ones who never seem to need to use cover of any kind. Run right up the middle of the street and never die. Forth are the ones who seem to be able to see everyone on the battlefield. Even the ones beyound the visual range of the snipers rifle.
Pay attention next time you play and see if you dont spot at least one of these guys. Its not hard if you can count the number of shots they shoot (dont use your fingers for this).

1) I can solo and do just what you said, but I rather enjoy playing with a gunner over VoIP..I don't cheat.

2) That's a animation compnent of the game/engine. You drop down, but to your enemy it looks like you roll. Prone shots are almost always deadly after 3-6 shots. Again, not a cheat

3) The other people shooting him are bad shots. Simple as that

4) Crank down your graphics to the lowest possible and come back on and ask for forgiveness. If you have all shadows off and all graphic settings to low, a sniper sticks out like a sore thumb.

Oh, and it's "fourth" not "forth".

I really don't think there are that many cheaters, but I have seen my share of crazy players...you will notice the ones that pwn you are the ones with over 700-1000hrs..they cheat their own bedtime schedule, not the game.

Congrats! You just noted EVERYTHING I can do without the use of any 3rd party program/hack. Lets break it down.

BF2 was dead to me not too long after 1.3 came out . The relentless server crashing was just too annoying after a while . My visit to the site tonite seems to show me 1.4 apparently hasnt fixed the probs. Hmm before fixing tiny bugs n making new features maybe just get the game running smoothly first . I must say I seemed to be playing with more jerks as time went on . You know ppl who would be a squadleader get you and the squad killed then blame you and abuse you. I remember requesting a commander for orders and being slagged off because I should've know what to do . This sort of abuse from ppl with mouths bigger than their brains seemed to become more frequent .I really enjoyed BF2 for a long while and spent far too much time playing it but I feel the technical problems in running the game were never addressed properly . I was actually reading a review of another EA game which reminded me of this game and hence my post tonite . The review stated that EA had made a new game in a series with a few changes to a previous version of the game but apparently ignored the problems that users had complained of in the previous version . This however is the customer service of our time .

RedRider, you got owned so many times in this thread I was tempted not to reply...

If you think I am a spokesman for cheaters, you should first look at my stats:laugh:

You lsited all these impossible things that happen in BF2, but name what cheats you sue to do them? You say that people that solo in choppers cheat, is tehre some God Mode for chopper cheat out now? You throw out all these situations, but there are NOT cheats for them.

Let me tell you this... cheating in BF42 (pre 1.6 patch) was 100 fold worse than it ever has been in BF2 and people still played and continue to play it.

As for the crashes, yeah EA messed up, but more and more people are coming over to BF2 from other platforms, simply because the game is so fantastic. Sure it has it's issues, but many platforms do... Anyone remember Vevindi locking out HL2 gamers on the release date because they refused to budge on their official release date even games we being sold off the shelves in record numbers? People threatened to walk away from HL2 at that point, but guess what, a majority of those same people ended up buying DoD: Source...

I have seen my fair share of hackers over the time I have been playing BF2. It's not that they are better than me and I'm complaining, it's to do with the feeling you get when you know what they do on a regular basis is impossible. EG hitting you with j10 mg fire in the middle of nowhere with no UAV on you.

It's more the smacktards that bug me. For instance the constant tking for
j10's. The players who brag about how good they are etc etc.... That is what annoys me. Admin abuse

The game, that I knew is dead. Of course new players will enter the game, but they will never know how much better this game was.

^Those SS are just 1 player mouthing off. You will find that **** in every online game.

The game is fine, just find some good servers you can whore with active admins to message when there is tards / hackers.

I have no probs with hackers or tards on the servers I play on (Mainly ICONZ). Also a lot of good squad work with pub players at times. Game is much more active then it was with 1.3

Don't know what u guys are talking about. I just went to a public gaming center with one of my friends and we played 8 straight hours of BF2 ranked with no problems with CTD's, Cheating, there was some TKing (but thats almost impossible to stop).

Yeah Bf2 is dying..... It's not just only the hackers but the new people who get in the game and take valuable assets like a tank,heli,planes away from the people who use it best.Usually people First Sargent and above. There are some good players who are lower ranked but it few and far between.

The new people in BF2 are ignorant and don't know how to detect hackers during gameplay thus you see "I've never seen a hacker" or its a hacker protecting his gameplay by posting disinformation. For the majority of veteran players have moved on to MODS or just stopped playing altogether. I think the majority of people have quit BF2 Vanilla because of hackers and new players entering the game.

As for the #1 hacking program they state "It's still undetectable by Punkbuster" plus the fact they have over 70,000 members and have over 250 new registered members a day.Oh yeah ,they already have a new 2142 hack. So if that don't burst your BF2 bubble what will?

as of 1.4 the smacktards in the community have become a much bigger problem thatn the game stability. i joined numerous games today, 11 atleast. of those, there was 1 that didnt have vehicle TKers, fliying/sniping squad leaders, baserapers (uncap), macro abusers and horribly stacked teams. i even ran into a few hackers (which is a rarity for me).

*i can only pray that most of these ****ers move on to BF2142.

At first no, it gave me all kind of servers but at least half were empty. I have over 600 with populated checked.

Please just quit the game for good and stop complaining. BF2 seems to have as many people as ever. EA downloader said 42K playing today, and I still get over 1200+ servers on the weekend. Yeah its dead....yeah right!
