The US sniper rifle Anywhere on wake island (thats if you can get on the land as USMC =P)

Many times I will get 20-30 kills on wake as sniper.

The only time I even use the kit is when I kill one, take his bag, drop his claymores (if he has any) and swap back to my kit.

Aside from that, I can't stand having them on my team.
I just view it as the most worthless do-nothing class in the game.

A skilled medic going from flag to flag on his own will kill 10x more people than any sniper will, not to mention he will assist in flag caps unlike the guy sitting under the tree for the last 45 minutes.

I play sniper a lot. But I would like to point you to the tips and tricks section, there are many useful threads there.

When I play sniper I don't expect to get many kills, you can I know, and you don't die much but it is a lot more "profitable" to grab a tank and apc. Anyways, I digress.

Back to sniping. When I snipe I barely ever lay claymores. I find them annoying and hate when friendly snipers but them on top of ladders thus blocking anybody else who may want to join them up in the skies from going up.

Also, don't forget, for me at least, a lot of the satisfaction I get from sniping is that headshot.

To see a guy sprinting halfway across the map, loosely aim at where he shoudl be and actually kill him, it truly is the best feeling I ever get from BF2. I always yell out "BOOM HEADSHOT" (yeah its fps_doug) whenever I get that and just start laughing

i reckon you're gonna end up with post after post bashing snipers for being useless blah blah..

M24 is the best as far as im concerned, if im MEC or China i'll try n nick an M24. makes their life harder, because its crack is very distinctive and you can wreak havoc.

I aint really a hard core sniper as im mostly medic on IO karkand, the reason that i am the medic on io is because im trying to get up to my next rank which wont be long then i might give vanilla a try again...

Hate to see a good thread bashed by some sniper haters, I've seen some really good snipers out there that can seriously help the team and squad lead to act as a mobile spawn point from an interesting position, and lay down cover fire for the squad.

As for me sniping, I'm usually support with the RPK-74 on vannilla and spec ops or assualt on PoE, but when I want to have a little fun as a squad lead I'll take up a nice position near a flag with an L96a1 and give some cover to the squad. It usually works out very well. It's especially fun to lead while carrying one of the anti-material rifles in PoE(like a M95 on Roids for those who don't play the mod), one shot kill while proned and does some serious damage to jeeps and helos. Needless to say, there's havok at the enemy flag while the infantry get plucked off and my squad moves in to clean the rest up, it's great fun.

Also, I think claymore spamming sucks big time, I only use those things when I'm alone on a crane or something, as self defense.

What is better then having a sniper pick off someone from 300M's away, I dont think a medic can do that XD. I dont know how many times I have seen a guy sneaking up on someone that is capping a flag, boom I got him from 1 base over. I have even taken out 3-5 people that were trying to kill someone capping a flag :-/

When playing MEC/China find DARK areas to hide and snipe from. Their ghille suit is darker than the USMC snipers. This will give you a few more seconds to steady your next shot or sneak away.

Then you haven't played the game for a long time. In my opinion the L96A1 is the best of all three.. The M24/SVD/M95/Type 88 make too much noise but the L96A1 is quite silent and is very precise the only thing that people will have to learn with this weapon is bullet drop.

Sniping Tip #396:

Simple to bypass by cranking up your gamma/contrast and lowering settings . But I saw one spot which I didn't notice where a support guy racked up tons of kills. It was at the Aircraft wreckage at Hotel in Jalalabad.

I play sniper a little different than most people. When Im a sniper I like to hunt enemy snipers. Its lots of fun.
One of my Fav. spots to snipe from is the USMC artillary on the wake Island map. It really helps my team and makes the enemy mad when they find out that I can make Head shots from there (can only shoot the enemy who come to the main Islands north and south tips).
I also like to try and shoot enemy chopper pilots but thats just me. . . . . . .Red

I know a spot on dalian, its so good that u cant be seen from 10 meters away, u become the thing that ur laying on, its weird, if u get close ull see a guy there, if u start backing up ull see a guy becoming the part of the rock
