Anyway, cheaters do ruin the game and its better to just take a break if its not fun for you.

I am not calling you or him sick and twisted. Some ppl take this game way to seriously. Its a Video game. The ppl who r sick are the ones who live on this game, and get mad when they are not doing good. If this game changes your mood from good to bad then thats not good for you. Its ment to be fun not running around trying to get to general, and getting pissed because you think you should have got the kill. So all im saying is the ppl who sit in front of their pc 24/7 and make battlefield a way of life are twisted. Those are the ppl who break down in real life and kill ppl.

I've seen several other occations where people get miraculous TV missle kills from 90degree angles over 500 meters away when you're in the trees, etc etc.
Likely the guy had some skills

That would be for that site ONLY. And there's people with several accounts (like me).

Excellent post stunt. You said what I've been thinking for a long time now, I could not have phrased that any better than you just did.

Its very sad that anyone would say " If somebody cheats so what its a game". If thats going to be the official motto of all the BF2 players whats the point to playing the game. Ill tell you that if I thought that Id quit right here and now. By the way Prisons are full of people who think that its ok to do whatever whenever to whoever make that your new moto. . . . . . . . .Red

Thats not what im saying, I wish ppl didnt cheat, what can I do - nothing. Why should I let some little punk, who I dont even know get me upset over a video game. When I turn the game on I sit back with a beer and have fun, even if that means dying 30 times before I get a kill. Theres nothing I can do with cheaters but im not going to let them beat me. Ya they can out score me, but I bet I have more fun then any cheater, because I know its just a game. Even the cheaters mis shots and get pissed off. Its got to be more fun killing someone who you know is cheating anyway. Ive ran into ppl using aimbot against me, when I finally kill them its worth it.

Thx guys just stating my opinion. For the few ppl who see things my way you should swing by bornslacker.com and check us out. We have a whole team of ppl who feel the same as I do. Its nice playing with ppl who like to play and are not worried about numbers. Having fun is what the games about. The game was not put out to see who can score the most pts, or who has the least deaths.

                    Re: Cheating at epidemic proportions

When I play I want to see how well I can do against the enemy. It impossible to judge my skill level when Im playing against cheaters, kinda makes the whole game pointless (no pun intended). Its like a test of brain power and knowledge of military tactics. With a cheat its only a test of how many times that you can push a button.
I do agree, though, that playing against cheaters is a waste of time. For me it is anyway. . . . . . . . . .Red

You have to have some real problems to end up killing someone over losing in a videogame. Anybody that sick could have broken down over any number of reasons.......cheating wife, lousy boss, no money, bad hair.:p

I think you have to take the good with the bad. There are always people looking for the easy win. And you have to accept this. In the end its much more fun to succeed without the aid of cheats. But Im sure many people find it frustrating knowing that there may be a cheater lurking in the game they are in.

Maybe the right attitude at this point is to go into a game thinking everyone is cheating and when you find they arent its like a pleasant surprise:laugh:

I bet if you do manage to find some good friends online that you can hang with now and then the game can be really awsome. I was in a Mechwarrior clan from 2000-2002 and we had some good times. Ahhh the good old days:)

I understand they have multiple games to work on, but even in free games like Enemy Territory, we saw updates much more frequently than I've seen with BF2.
Granted PB is not perfect, but it does help.
There was an update about 2 weeks ago I think.
They ban the cheat several months after being caught. So the cheats have a hard time telling which hack got them caught.

Stunt-- Great posts. Right on the money. Thanks for sharing those views.

BTW, did you ever get 1.4 installed? If not, have you tried doing a CHKDSK/R, or did you wind up re-building your PC?

                            Take care.

I would like to see one mature person who is not serious when he is playing. By serious, I mean having emotions from anger to joy and all what belong between. At least for me, I like to play because this entertainment is much more emotional than for example action movies.

I don't know whether it's me and my friends but when we have gaming night arranged (this requires wife and children to be elsewhere, heavy drinking ahead , happens like once in a year), I never stop wondering how much noise a handfull of old farts can make. The amounth of whining, swearing and laughing is monumental

I would like to compare playing with reading. When I read a good book, I let my imagination loose and kinda get inside the world described in the text. When I'm playing the feeling is quite the same.

I'm pretty sure that for those people u mentioned (24/7 and so), things have gone wrong way before they started this game. I don't think that one video game causes such behavior to perfectly healthy people.
