Re: Only a few of us left...
Lol, isn't it ironic what opposite experiences are possible. I've clocked 740 hours as engy. Way back in '42 I tired of being raped from behind (it hurt me deep), and developed a routine for vehicle heavy maps. Spawn at main, take the biggest iron available and set off. Die, respawn at main and repeat. Have never had problems in '42 or BF2 getting the armour, in fact I find it so easy getting armour around half of my commanding time is in armour too. Since my computer was so crap back then I couldn't do roles that required too twitchy reflexes, so infantry and flying was pretty impossible.
Now that my game rig is decent I play infantry roles and have around 600 hours with the other 6 kits combined. Although I'm handy in any role I enjoy assault and AT the most, they're just the most fun. Having seen what I consider as point farming on Karkand and to a lesser extent other infantry maps over the last 15 months I've developed a distaste for the support and medic kits. I've played them to expert and left it at that.
