Am I the only one that thinks that IO mode shouldnt exist? And even if it didnt exist, am I the only one that thinks the servers that kick/ban people for using vehicles should be shut down? Seriously, its what the game was made for.. Vehicles are half the game, if you dont like them go play Counterstrike or Call of Duty.

Call of Duty and CS are wayyyy too different from Battlefield 2 even WITHOUT vehicles. Could you even revive someone? Create squads? Have artillery and UAV and drop supplies? Place claymore mines? No! I think vehicles are half the game
People here at Totalbattlefield2 arent very nice.. I made this post wondering who was with me on that, I didnt want people giving me solutions on how to live with it.. You say to just not play the IO maps, and I love Strike on Karkand.. Favorite map in the game, so I usually look for a 24/7 Strike On Karkand map. But no, Most of them are infantry only or full. And again, I was just wondering if anyone was with me, and was expecting posts like "Im with you man, I hate the new IO mode" or "No, I dont really agree with you. I think IO mode is a cool thing they added in to enhance the gameplay."
So I guess Im just going to start making polls now and not reading the replys if people here are ALWAYS like this..

So let me see if I understand...You made the OP in hopes that you could find IO haters like you? Hmmm. People are nice enough to give you solutions because you seem to think that IO is going to go away if you hate it hard enough. It's not going anywhere.
You do understand the concept of search filters for the server browser screen right? There is no way to "magically or mysticaly" end up in an IO server unless you choose to.
I guess you are right Baja, people here will ALWAYS give you their opinion rather than telling you all the things you want to hear. Some poeple just don't appreciate an honest opinion. :|:
The main reason is 1v1's.
I'm getting into way more 1v1's with other players in IO than I ever did on vanilla servers, and I love it when I run into someone with a great gun over and over.
1v1's? Meaning you're not with your squad and your enemy is not with his squad? Doesn't say much for the 'teamwork' aspect of IO that so many of the IO supporters seem to be wetting themselves about, now does it?

You need a squad to survive in BF2, but I prefer to "lone wolf" it in IO (squads just attract unwanted attention, I draw enough of that on my own), I don't mind leading a squad, but I won't give a lot of orders, it is more follow me if you want (as medic), but there is only gonna' be 1 speed, "mine" ("Chronicils of Riddick")
If I see a group of peeps on UAV, I don't want to share the kills, I want them all for my self, 3 out of 4 I will get multiple kills before I fall:)

But if you look at it from a person who really cares for his stats poitnof view. IO can really inflate people's stats. So if you are against IO and really care about your stats. You are between a rock and ahard place. You either suck it up and play IO so you can keep up with the other people's stats that play IO or you keep playing regular BF2 and fall behind in stats...
So you can't just stfu and not play it.... It affects the whole BF2 community.

If someone is obsessed with the points and precious imaginary medals then that person will more than likely be NO GOOD at teamwork. Cant necessarily be a good squad leader when all you care about doing is looking out for #1. The point is, IO is an OPTION! You can select Infantry Only servers or you can select Regualr servers. No one is forcing you to play 1 or the other. Baja makes it seem like the universe is caving in on itself because there is a choice now, where previously there was no choice.
To be honest, I dont think Baja understands that you can choose IO or regular. By the posts made he gives me that impression quite clearly.

What is so bad about infantry only apart from nades?
if it wasn't infantry only you would still get nade pwned in karkand or any other city map...no i think IO is great since theres no tanks to spwan rape an get quick kills...theres no artillery to wreck my brain an cause constant ****ing annoyance

Untrue, I was labelled an armour whore, and was accused of being a crap player when I wasn't hiding in my tank simply because I opposed IO.
I then posted screenshots of me in IO mode playing as assault, in third place, then in first place topping even the medic and support whores scores.
The IO supporter coward has run with his tail between his legs. It's due to whining that we got this unwanted game mode, and now we're told not to whine WTF?
The trouble is it's not the IO supporters giving an honest opinion, it's the IO opposers.
Lazza, IO is not going anywhere. Personally I have played about half a map and found it to be quite boring. That is just my opinion. They should have rearranged the spawn points for a better overall experience.
Im not exactly sure what you being labeled a tank whore and then owning in IO has to do with my post but...I merely stated that you have an option, no one goes into a server that dont want to unless they click on it and set the filters. Last time I checked the server filters did still work. If someone is uncapable of operating the server filters then that is an issue for a different setting in a different forum.
As for the opinions given, you cannot blame someone for what they like or dont like. If that is the case, then who are you to be of the superior opinion? What makes you so right and them so wrong? I dont really care for the IO thing, I think it's a pain having to walk for 20 minutes only to get killed by 30 grenades all at once. Like I said, you don't have to like the other opinions, just respect them.
IO = PKM pwnage. Thank you EA and Dice. I needed to get some time as support, but always hated to play it. Your little smorgasbord of grunts with little to no skill running down the middle of the street has been a godsend for my PKM. Thank you thank you thank you. I thought this game could not get more retarded, but you have shown me the way. Prone + PKM = 200+ point rounds on Jalalalalalalalabad.
I used to enjoy ther tank, but thanks to you have found whoring the PKM a much better way to go.
STop bitching about How your stats are getting scrued or u got your rank for doing something with the hard way and now that IO is out, everyone can get it alot easyer.
