Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
If there is a group of people in a small space I will label their tactic as "grenade formation" and throw a couple before I am spotted, because proning and trying to take down 4 people with one clip can be harder than one little black ball explosion. I haven't played IO server, don't really want to, but I can see why they nade spam. All in one group while they defend the flag (or their spawn points) by any means. BOOM .. boom .. boom boom boom
there was nade spaming before the 1.4 patch and IO mode. so you can't blame IO for the nade spaming. ask anyone who played any city maps or wake on the ground. i lot of people switched to support and sniper after the 1.2 patch. i don't see any real difference in what people play on the city maps. there are less AT guys and no engineers in IO. but i still see AT guys shooting people with the AT and the DOA 12 works good on a group at close range.
wow, planewhore you must be very good stat padding medic. i havn't broken a 100 yet in IO playing medic. i don't throw bags down unless someone needs one. i go for flags not stand around spaming medic packs.
you know what i think it is? the plane and chopper whores that got the really high scores from rapeing the ground are mad because people on the ground can get just as high as scores as they did in the jets and chopper.
then the tank and apc whores are mad because they don't have the k/d scores they use to by hiding in a tank/apc.
i'm tired of seeing people that don't even like to play on the ground complain about IO.
How about limiting grenades to the assault class for IO, then that way the assault kit effectively gets an upgrade, giving it some of that needed balance.
Currently medic and support are better at assault than assault, that would help address that issue and the spam issue too.
Karkand. 32 player. Up over the hill, down past square, and go to market.
Jellybean. Across the land-bridge, behind junkyard, up to hotel.
As long as you have a squad of medics, it's easy.
Like I said, I don't have a problem with grenades, and I never did. Nothing needs to be changed at all.
WTF? I thought you knew some UNPREDICTABLE routes?
Simply going wide is very predictable on Karkand, and the land bridge on Jalalabad is by now already predictable, not only that you're flanked on both sides and against good opposition this route is suicide (like the other routes).
Quoted for truth.
Christ people, does dice need to put a ****ing yellow "nade crossing" sign at the hotel on Karkand so you retards will finally avoid walking through the bottlenecks there?
Yeah JSR that's a great idea! The MEC team can just abandon those alleys! Of course if you do that then the USMC come streaming up through them unopposed. Fact is though the alley/fenced in areas aren't the only grenade spam locations. If you don't believe me... ask Volx. Grenades in their current form are just a crutch. Let's face it when people are using grenades and have more time throwing grenades then holding their MAIN RIFLE you know a problem exists. I have no problem with each class getting a single unresupplyable grenade to root out campers and in fact I think it's a very good balance element. But when you can throw grenades one after the other for an ENTIRE round non stop it is exploitation.
Grenades are just exploitable and have always been in their current implementation. Even in regular non-IO "grown-up" servers grenade spamming is a problem BUT armored vehicles exist which are virtually immune to grenades. This is the rock to grenades scissors but in IO mode no vehicles exist so the explotation of grenades is just that much worse and no counter exists to them but grenading them right back and hoping you get lucky and your grenades land closer to them then theirs do to you.

Oh I totally agree about the grenade being a crutch for the noob who can't shoot (we agree on something?) but I (a lot of people actually) must be doing something wrong because I simply don't die from them that often.
Anyone who plays a map (Karkand or whatever) over and over simply knows (or should) where the bottlenecks and spam-heavy points will be, and if a person has even a small amount of “game smarts” they should know better than to follow the herd of newbies running right down the middle of the road towards cap points.

That's about it alright. If you're being 'naded all the time, enough so that you feel the need to complain about it, you're doing something wrong. It just doesn't happen to me that often.
