Where the heck is my verbal taunt???

did u guys forget to add a button to allo wme to use these taunts. b/c u said we would be allowed to use them wen i.4 patch came out.

Veterans also receive an exclusive in-game indicator of their Veterans status and a special verbal taunt in BF2 together with patch 1.4.

Yeah, where is this verbal taunt? Maybe EA forgot to bind a button or something, or maybe EA gave us a taunt and said "look you have a taunt, but we dont know how to use it" lol.

When I get off work I am going to give EA Tech Support a call and see what they can do, its probly the first they have heard about a "verbal taunt". I'll post what information they have on our verbal taunt.

if you would have read... the statement was along the lines of... and if you pre-register your b2142 name now , you'll get a rank...blah blah blah, and a special verbal taunt!

why on earth would they give it to you in bf2?

from what i gather the files for the taunt was included with the patch but how do we use it. and again i quote a special verbal taunt for bf2 in the new 1.4 patch now what does 2142 have to do with the 1.4 patch

When logged in last night, I still had the pop up featuring the Veterans program. It read Sign up now, and receive your rewards now.

As a reminder of your heroic efforts in Battlefield 2, we are pleased to announce that you will also be awarded an exclusive Veteran indicator next to your name in Battlefield 2142, so other players will recognize that you’ve had a tour of duty in Battlefield 2. I've read that it's in your BF2 directory in one of the zips. They just didn't add a button, I guess.

The taunt is there but its rated "G" you can find the taunt in your EA Games folder BF2/ Common_Clients.zip under sounds and scroll down theirs 3 taunts listed with .ogg after them but there 3 laughs, 2 evil sounding and the other, a chortle?

I played them using Winamp it could be an auto type of sound like the wrenching sound effect

The taunt is played automatically when you crash to the desktop or get disconnected from the server - it's EA laughing at you. Unfortunately, the code is buggy and you don't get to hear it everytime you or the server crashes.

Perhaps it is a typo, but it clearly says verbal taunt in BF2.
