    nope, i also have 2 gib Ram, so that can't be the problem. I completely removed BF2, but that didn't make sense can somebody please help....

      I found that a complete reinstall of windows fixed my problems.
      I probably had some progs that I didn't want and were slowing down my pc, as BF2 now seems to work perfectly ( fingers crossed it stays that way!)

          Ive done a fresh windows install, Ive reinstalled BF2, Ive done everything you could possibly suggest.

          Now im using an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. Intel dont have dual core drivers.
          My BF2 ran perfectly for ages and suddenly stopped. I honestly dont think its the CPU.

            Well, I have an intel dual core too...

            Okay my problems are solved I de-installed McAfee and now it runs great again. Maybe it helps others too.
