1.4 - The End of BF2?

With the release of 1.4 - do you think we've seen the final version of BF2 forever? Is this what we get forevermore?

With 2142 coming out, I think we're stuck with what we gots. So there you go. No more reason to complain or petition DICE for improvements/nerfs/balances.

It is done.

i think bf2 will survive. im worried about 2142 after dices poor handling of bf2 i dont see why anyone wou;d want 2142.

I agree - we're at the point of "Run what ya Brung". That's it. You still get your medals and unlocks and whatnot... But the game as you see it tomorrow will be the game as you see it in three years (when only fourteen servers play it).

Since the patch did nothing it was supposed to do, me and my clan are leaving BF2 Vanilla! Pings went through the roof, server browser is still messed up, on and on and on, they just don't care!

Mods are where we are headed if they even run worth a crap with DICE's coding involved! If not, what a shame man, this coulda been a killer game

well i think its obvious, they took ages with this patch, the beta testing etc. so they tried to do as much as they can before they leave. so yes. this is the end for support of bf2.

But as long as theres mod makers out there, we should be ok

Coulda been a killer game??? It is a killer game in spite of all we have put up with it has been killer and will remain killer. If it was soooo horrible why would you have enjoyed it for so long and still be posting in forums regarding this game that is not good in your opinion. If you think a game is amazing I guess you never play it and steer clear of forums so as never to speak of it. Seems odd, lol. If this "final" patch has nerfed the game entirely I think you still got your 60$ bucks worth bro.

i just hope if i dont play bf2 anymore, and one day i want to play it again, and theres like 100 servers left with no one populating it. I just dont want to see that. Bf2 was originally a good game but look what have DICE and EA done. They have abandoned this popular game. Imgaine the whole world plays bf2 and nobody wants to buy 2142. It would make EA and Dice a great shame! Hahaha, revenge on them!

Supposedly, this aint the last we've seen of support....

Shack: From a development perspective, are you going to continue to support Battlefield 2 after the release of 2142?
