I suspect I will keep playing BF2 after 2142 is released. Guess I will see what my clan mates decide to do and go from there.

A new mod coming out doesn't mean that people will ultimately stop playing Battlefield 2. I plan to support BF2 till ET:QW is released in 2007 and by that time I'll probably start playing that game. I will however not be supporting 2142. I've tried the BETA, its buggy as hell. Being a BETA is the only excuse people can use but its the same thing as BF2 and it is not a new game, consider 2142 a mod for BF2.

OF COURSE bf2142 betta scuks.out of all the bugs found in the beta we would be lucky if dice fixes half of them. Never buy anything made by dice. Bf2 was the best game in the BF series there is no way 2142 can top it.

The beta 2 of 2142 has many more bugs than the first one, almost all of them new. Some were mentioned before it was released by Collin Clarke, so those might get fixed.

But, as some people said earlier, just because it's a beta doesn't mean it needs to have more bugs in new releases. This is a hint that the game will be released with tons of bugs, if they can't even make the damn second phase of the beta less buggy. Things were introduced that NOBODY asked for.

I don't care anyway. I won't be getting 2142, the whole idea (and no planes!) of futuristic combat is not as interesting as modern war. When it comes out, it will be good for us bf2 players since all the EA fanboys and noobs will move to 2142.

Absolutely I'll play it. But yes I'll buy BF2142 (although as time goes on, I'm thinking of canceling the preorder at this point) I'll play BF2 til BF3 comes out--hopefully support will still be there.

I won't even be buying 2142, unless it's on Ebay for 5$ or so. BF2 was good, its time is now. 2142 won't kill it. FH2 will only enhance BF2.

I will play 2142, see how that is. EA will stop all support (assuming there is any now) and will focus on pretending to help with 2142.

I think what i'll have done by December is un-installed every Battlefield game and just wont buy any EA games at all. It's really pissing me off now, those people sold their "Customer Support" Department years ago, along with any shreads of human dignity (Yes i am extrememly angry, can you tell?)

Wont be getting 2142, hubby played Beta and all i can say is , ooh oooh, what a load of bollocks , i would rather watch paint dry. (but the kiddies into star trek will love it )

I'm 16 and not into Star Trek and I love 2142. I love it because the "story" of the whole ice age thing is kind of cool. The whole theme of 2142 reminds me of when I used to play Mech Assault with my friends on Xbox Live and we'd have a blast no matter how much we played it. I'm also getting sick of all these WW2 rehash games and the modern combat war shooters are getting old too, except for BF2, which I still love and play.

I like both a lot but right now I am continuing to play BF2 a lot more because I don't care about 2142 in it's beta state right now. Regardless of it's a "mod" or not, I will pay 50$ for it because I like it and I have the money to spend.
