16 Man map, 64 player capacity server.............300 tickets?

Somebody from ROE please respond... Id like to play their but im unsure..

main point being 16 player 300 TICKETS instead of 100.

nope it's not legal, it's designed for high points. if the tickets had been left to the normal 100, then it would of been fine..

That would be ridiculously hectic though. I played a 50 man server on 16 player oman once. It was sooo much fun.

ummm, IS, 64 players on a 16 player map isnt legal? Wouldnt it be LESS points?

I think that is one of the ROE's stupidest rules. Who cares, as long as they are playing normally. It will even out in the end anyways.

This server should be shut down then. Why is it one of the top 20 ranked BF2 Servers....just so people can get reset?

mann dont be so worried about it. your not the hoster of the server or the admin? do you control the rules that go on? probly not but if you do than you have an issue. Dont owrry about it. if the people want to deal with an issue like that they can.

a 64 slot server has 300 tickets, the tickets are based on the map size, not the player count

U got it backwards. 64 players on a 16 player map is a ton of points. With everyone concentrated in such a small area, u can gain many points in matter of minutes. 100 points in hour is turned into 100 points in 30 minutes.
Now, 16 players, on a 64 player map? Thats stupid. The points are really low.

This thread illustrates one of the problems with ROE, ie. how is someone supposed to know if a server is legal or not except by going on a forum and asking? Until I read this thread I wouldn't have guessed that the number of points was a problem. Having 64 players on a 16 man map would have been my guess. A casual read of the ROE doesn't spell it out. Then there's the problem with players who have never even heard of ROE and wouldn't know that there was any such thing as an illegal server until one day, out of the blue, their stats are reset.

I don't blame IS for any of this, I suspect he's as frustrated as anyone with the powers that be at EA and is just trying to do the best he can with what little they give him.

They need to add a "Rules of Engagement" button to the tabs at the top when you're selecting a server.

That way people have no excuse not to know them.

Is it only me or BF2 is the only game where you must read a book's worth of rules in order to play?

And what is worse, these are rules are all written in lawyer's language, not the common stuff people is used to read.

Wrong, 16 players on a 64 player map is LOTS of points, I've played it on Karkand before. Its such a large area that all you need to do is grab a tank then ride around taking flags for the pts and when players try to come after you, you blow them away. So you get pts for getting a ton of flag caps and any kills are extra, plus watever else you can do to earn pts.

I don't play those servers anymore tho cuz pts aren't that great and I want a challenge.
