I just got off the phone with the psychic hotline and they said July 7th 2007 (7-7-7) for the release date!! Also they said told me this thread would be locked soon.

:hmm: If I were a bet'in man, I would put money on the 7th. Ya, the story sounds kinda stretched, but I have seen plenty of people that had the inside track on events like server outages, announcements, and releases in the past. So, sure, I am going to give him the benefit-of-the-doubt. Why not, 3 weeks seems like a very reasonable time to correct a serious bug in the patch.

I just wonder what happened to the Beta program getting the patch? Are they just fooling people into thinking that their input is valued and they are really not even checking what the community has to say about anything? Could this 3-week period be a clue to that?

what most of you dont understand is that some of us have a JOBs. real life, lot paying job. and what does that mean? going to the OFFICE. and you know? in many countries EA shares their offices with other companies in large office farms.
and even tho we cant talk with them on our leisure, we can talk to them during lunch times in near cattering facility, or during 'smoke' breaks [standing outside in the rain, because somebody never created a smoking room..]. sometimes we talk them, while they smoke, and we are off of our jobs :)

and this is how rumors and news leak. because NDA's are.. well.. you know what. you wont go here and post important stuff, but one can share it with his friend during heavy beer session. and by some accident that friend might remember it.. and share it..

thats why i believe him [however i wont hold my breath] but i wont be waiting - there happened to be some other games and bf2 is a thing of past for me i think..

7th? Sounds fishy. Almost all of the patches have gone out either on a Tuesday or a Friday. Only one Thursday patch...

I know exactly what you are talking about, I have so many friends that are in someway or another tied to EA. It is a small world, and it is not hard to find out something if you wanted to. Considering, that there are a lot of people in these forums, there is always going to be one person out of the 10,000 that might know someone. Remember, the world has 7 degrees of seperation.

Can't you leave it? As far as EA are concerned it's out on the 7th and I really want to see what the doubters post after that date. 'Possibly' kinda makes their arguments useless.

Hearsay from someone who works at EA is useful as far as I'm concerned.
