Being a clairvoyant as I am, i see a hoard of pointless posts coming.
Just lock it as it is, information from an unconfirmed source in the EA. Heck the worldwide media publishes such information on paper

Best of Advice, never trust anyone on these forums unless they have substantial evidence proving their theory and/or news. Perferrably in link or hyperlink form. This especially applies to issues surrounding future practises of EA/DICE and there Battlefield Series games.

Are you sure he meant on the 7th? My friend works for EA, he said the patch will be out in 2007, maybe that's what your friend meant?

..before you ask I don't have a link or proof other than the word of a friend at EA.

It's currently at the "NA CQC" (whatever the hell that is) before final release on the 7th.

Please keep the flaming until after the 7th.

Sounds about right for a release date. With all the work 2142 is going to need, when will they have time for BF2?

Actualy I would LOL a LOT if th OP was right.
The problem is that even if EA thinks that the patch will be out on the 7th, on the 6th they will find something wrong with it..and delay it a little more.
