if it were a WWII game then they better have at LEAST 15 COMPLETELY new maps before they think about redoing the ones from 1942 and throwing em in because it takes less work, kinda like wake.

WWII is more played out in games than Star Wars.

lol Ya, but just like Star Wars, theres only a handful of good WWII based games. First person shooters in particular. The problem is that its not the fact that there are hordes of WWII games, but rather the majority of them are just bad IMO BF42 deserves to be brought back using the new engine, hopefully with all the bugs fixed :P Besides, EA/Dice owe it to all the people that are still playing '42:p

my favorites are like AOE type games i like commanding armies... but yes i would play a WWII game i like those too...

I am beta testing Company of Heroes and that game truely kicks some serious ***! Command and Conquer 3 will have nothing on it.

The only thing worth checking out IMO is Supreme Commander, because of the sheer number of units you will be able to interact with, not to mention it supports true duelview. IE map on one screen, battleground on the other.

Today, digital illusion's (DICE) announced a new title, Battlefield: Bad Company for Xbox360 and PlayStation 3. Battlefield: Bad Company is planned to be released during 2007 and is one of the previous announced titles that wasn't named.

Battlefield: Bad Company is an entirely new and independent game in the Battlefield-series that uses a game engine called” Frostbite”. That's DICE's entirely newley developed gaming engine. The game contains a cinematic singel-player-part loaded with adventorus feeling and dark humour as never earlier been experienced in Battlefield-series.

No.

That's why I skipped the original BF and why I've never played COD. I got burned out on WWII with Return to Wolfenstien. I gave it another go when RO went retail, but that lasted all of a weekend.

Always been more of a SOF and UT kind of player.

I think I might get the demo, but it depends really on how 1.4/2142 shape up. That's pretty much the only factor because I love WWII games.

Maybe a good theme will be the latest years of the war, or focused on some specific period of time.. I dont know... addmin more weapons, like ALL the ppl with M1 rifles, and all the other weapons as unlocks or something...
