Hello all

In case you didn't know (or in case no one else has posted this - I tried searching) it seems we might get the 2142 demo on the 24th August according to Planetbattlefield.

I'm trying to remain unexcited and cynical about this after all the BF2 patch malarky but hey, it's shiny and new so I can't wait :-)

I dont think I will ever purchase another EA product as long as I live.

BF2 coulda been great but with all the bugs, horrible map balances,
crappy expansion packs, and the scam we all know as RANKED servers
its too much for me.. 2142 will be more of the same..I will bet anyone here
$1000 cash money, and I will back up that bet.

hmmm wonder if bf2142 will be vista compatible...

You would think they would have made sure it does ... but you never know ... there still awhile till Vista becomes standard - hell its not even released yet. having said that, BF2142 hasnt been released yet aswell.

Well I can assure you that no where in the readme.txt is it going to mention Vista.

BF2 works well under it AFAIK so maybe BF2142 will also ?

I love the way they are giving away free keys, yet they do it at late afternoon/evening US/Canadian time, when most of the Europeans are in bed.

So much for having a 'widespread' beta that takes in a representative sample of people hey Colin. What is the proportion of yanks compared to Europeans playing the game from these key 'give aways'?

all the servers are in europe and the game is terrible except for the stealth i unlocked, thats the hotness

2142 sounds like the weaksauce. they should have made battlefield apes.where we go to the planet of the apes and fight the apes, but it is really earth. good game.
