having trouble killing the jump and prone guy, you?

I have a lot of trouble killing the guy who jumps and prones in mid air when i have the advantage on him by hitting him a couple times already when i'm prone. it really throws me off and takes me like half a second to track him again at mid range, how about you?

Yes, especially at Karkand. If I've severely injured the bunny hopper and he "hops" to cover, I will usually just run after him and hope to get the kill.

I run around with the grenade launcher out constantly. If the blast doesn't get him, the bullet will.

A fast computer, good ping, and a shotgun kills bunnies.

                What I do is:
Take out my nice pump shotty or, if MEC, jackhammer, and wait around a corner with a UAV over my head. They hop over the corner, BAM, dead, then of course I tbag and knife their balls off.  Then, when they tell me my mom is a fatass or whatever I just remind them that they just got owned.

Getting Teabagged is a nice reminder that you're the one leading the score while your team is winning 200-40.

That's BS. Who runs around city maps playing engineer? Yes, I agree, the shotgun is affective against prone spamming, bunny hopping dolphin divers. But because the shotgun is a close range weapon, hardly anyone uses it. About the only reasonable solution is the DAO12 with the AT kit.

Re: having trouble killing the jump and prone guy, you?

Leading your shots always works. Don't just point, spray and pray.

I typically fire first towards their chest, then lead my shots down to their waist/feet everytime I come face to face with somebody. Of course thats depending on what they do. If they go prone, the foot shot becomes a headshot. If they crouch, the waistshot becomes a headshot. If they just stand still, they're dead anyways, so who cares?

When somebody is bunny hopping, I just keep leading my shots. If they're not proning upon landing, and just jumping like morons, they're pretty easy targets. Even if they're smart enough to prone for better accuracy upon landing, if you're leading your shots, you can pretty much get a clean pair of headshots before they can open up on you.

Still... I personally have a harder time with people who stay prone after their first jump than I do with people who constantly dolphin dive. The reason is because my reflexes have a hard time adjusting, when I expect people to keep diving around, so I sometimes mislead my shots, and miss the opportunity to headshot the guy after he does his dive.

I do. I play engie all the time on city maps. I think the single pump is one of the best guns by far for city maps. With the single pump, nades and mines you can be quite a menace. This is how I earned the nick name on my server of "Single Pump Pimp". :)

So your nickname denotes that it only takes one pump to get you to shoot your load?

Thats not a good nickname to have if you think about it.

The funny thing about bunny hoppers is if they simply just run away or find cover, 90% of the time they will either survive or got away; But instead they rather hop up and down constantly right in front of you like a tart on a pogo stick looking for attention and hope you will miss them.

I'm a 'panic' bunny hopper myself.

I've noticed that if I'm being ambushed by somebody, who got the shot off on me without me knowing their position. I jump around while repositioning myself in the direction of the damage. This allows me to do two things.

#1. It prevents them from lining up shots, instead they're being forced to lead their shots. A lot of people have trouble leading their shots from a distance, so this does actually help at first.

#2. If I spot them, I can go instant prone, and I can pound them back. Even if they're crack shots, I'll still be able to do at least 1/2 of their life, and get an assist kill for their sneaky arses.
