When coming in, I usually lift my nose up a bit as I slowly fall out of the sky -- I find that it helps.

Hi

On the jets with 2 bombs you can make it so that one at a time gets dropped. What you need to do is:

Drop both bombs
Fly back for more, but try to only pick up one (fly fast over the runway, or at an angle).
Then, drop that one bomb.
From now, everytime you rearm with 2 bombs, only one at a time will be dropped.

Someone might be able to find a link which explains it better. I couldn't find it.

Not sure about the big bombers with 5 bombs though - I think they're meant to drop them all.

Easier way I think. Just drop one and switch to missles immediately. Then go and rearm with one bomb in your load, and you will drop one at a time from then on I think.

Bombers can drop one and then 4, I think.

300 is too slow
learn to fly around 450
then get lower and lower
and then line up on runway
and then chop throttle to idle as soon as you cross the runway
keep the nose up
wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy easier if you have a joystick and throttle
(no throttle = HARD)

soon you will get good enough to chop to idle
about 2 miles out and glide it in

then you can also land on buildings, bridges, inside the essex, on top of cranes, anywhere

I really appreciate it but I can't do MP BF2. It won't work with our internet connection.

And no, I can't click the button once to drop one. I seem to click the button once and it drops all. But I see AI drop just one or two at a time... surely we can too?

Well buddy, since you didn't get a decent reply, i hope you read this.

In any Jet, basically all you need to know along with some practice, is to make sure you hit your landing strip (carrier etc) at a top speed of 700 knots. If you go any slower (a little will be alright), you will end up stalling it sort of speak and slowly desend down to the ground/water. Do wait 1 sec for your landing gear to come out but as long as you are level or your nose a bit up if you want, then simply decelerate once you hit your landing zone or wheels touch or w/e. You can even start to decelerate b4 your wheels touch. Practice this on a server with no one in there and you'll get it in an hour or 2 and soon you will be landing at flags like me to cap them.

I love landing expecially on enermy bases get good apporach at 500 then drop it down to 300 if the nose drops apply power and thrust and slowly pull up then once inline slam breaks on and you should have 0 damage.

See it helps to land jets especially in the beginning of the round when you can jump into a jet, land it at a flag and cap it then take off. And i also like to not land, but to slow right down and sort of float the plane on the carrier/strip and heal up real quick that way. But that takes alot of trial and error to get the right speed when usig a keyboard and mouse like i do.

The trick with landing it in timing and in slowing down your speed if you need to land to repair I recommedn that you land the same way your jet took off at. You will also need to slow down to about 400mph or you will explode!! the harrier is better just hover repair!!

I'm having difficulties landing jets... lol, I come in as low as 300 knots (its in knots, right?) and STILL I crash like I came in at 1000 knots.

I'm a veteran Flight Simmer, with lots of experience landing planes on the computer. Yet I can't seem to get it in BF2. Do the wheels come out automatically? If not, what's the button to press?

I to am a flight sim veteran and also have trouble landing...I find it's mostly due to the lack of realism (flaps and stuff)...and the lack of spoiler/airbrakes and wheel brakes

Sometimes I have toruble NOT landing.

I was on wake in the j10, coming in real slow to kill a jeep behind a tree. I don't remember if I killed the guy, but my jet hit the ground right at the east entrance of north base (enemy occupied). I had to move my jet a bit in order to take off, but I was blasted with a rocket before I could take off.

I can also land a j10 under the carrier in the water by the boats.

what i did to help me learn i started my own server on dragon vally and took the jet and landed it on the sides so there is NO WAY at all i could miss and i kept setting a goal and if i passed it then i could just do it again and i just kept getting it closer and closer and closer until i could land it

What if I don't want to fly over 10 times to heal the damage from that one missile that got me?

That's one of the things landing (or touch-and-go) is for.

The reason you flight-sim buffs are having landing problems is because the BF2 engine flight physics are not realistic!
