Outperformed by SVD, SVD is a bugged rifle. If you know what the correct aiming point is, it becomes a monster. Currently, its an assumption that the tip of the arrow is where you aim, but this is wrong. This will lead to TOTALLY MISSING shots at semi-long to long range. This is a proven fact.

SVD will outperform M24 in close range and in midrange. Especially when people aim the correct way. There are screenshots (Refer to the weapon bug thread in DICE feedback forum) to prove my words.

Which leads us to balande in weapon dynamics.

    Sniper rifles balanced.

-M4, which is more presice in CQC.
Wrong. AKS47U will roll over M4 in CQC, because of its damage. Difference in ROF is almost neglible. However, I like the accuracy at longer range, where AKS47U isnt that good. At least from my experience. I find these two weapons to be balanced aswell.

-249SAW, which is more accurate then the RPK.
Theres a reason why people pick RPK over SAW any day of the week.

However, SAWs ROF brings superiority in CQC. Weapons balanced.

-M16A1, which is far more accurate then other assault-rifles.
AK47 and AK101 roll over M16 users in CQC like a cat over a mouse.
    Balance in range/firepower.

-M1A2 Abrams, which can aim higher then Type-95.
Experienced tankdrivers know that you can get 1 shot kills off Abrams way more easily. Abrams is also a very BIG tank, thus making a better target.

-Blackhawk, which once was good, though less armor then Z-8.
Separate issue. BHAWK was a member of the "Triple Balanciado Group"

Which consisted of J10, Mi-28 and BHAWK.

-AH1Z Cobra, which has better manouverability, and less bugged TVG-missiles, aimable rockets.
Mi-28 TV missile is bugged, but only if you aim above horizon with it. Otherwise its working just fine. Also, note that Mi-28 is more suitable towards ATG than Cobra. ATA is something completely unintended.

A good pilot and a good gunner will decimate Cobra every time, because the cannons do as much damage as the FFARs.

    Balance in firepower and maneuverability.

-F15 with more armor and afterburner, more accurate bombs.
Negative. All armor for all bombers (probably all jets) is equal. Afterburner timer is 15 seconds, same as Su-34, more than Su-34 though (Su-34 goes for 10, but also flies as a friggin fighter). Bombs are basically the same. Just different names. Code is the same.

F15 is the worst bomber of all 3, this is an undeniable fact both code and experience-wise.

-F-18, missile dogdger* and fastturning, good machinegun-placement.
*bug, thus making this statement irrelevant.

F18 is better than the MiG overall, but has bigger turn radius, thus is somewhat balanded. However, F18 is worse than J10.

Note that F35B vs J10 situation is the most used in this game.

-The Joint Strike Fighter (JSF), F-35.

This is not in my eyes any disadvantage. The fact people care about stats and kills, they all rush for the "easy to use" equipment/hardware.
F35B is not a dogfighter. Its ATS capabilites are awesome. But nothing much better than the stuff other fighters offer.

No arguing, all MEC/PLA rifles are more easy to use then the US ones. But with aim, you can do more as US, and taking this advantage to the battlefield, also requires tactics.
Which proves my point that USMC is for people who like the challenge.

The main problem IMO, is that like me, as noob; I chose US of the language, and the cool look of the Abrams (and the fact it was an Abrams), as back then where less manouverable then opositons. I think to many newbeginners prefer the US concept, even though they should start as mec/pla, to get used to weapons, how to use them, aiming-techniqes etc.
I often compare USMC team with Marine wannabes. Youll encounter a "NAVY SEAL" in every server

Which is bad, USMC team is supposed to be filled with better players. Instead... its not.

The fact Wake Island has that F-18, is to ensure all the enemy jets will go down. Then again, the VTOL may come to effort.
    VTOL is useless.

I really dont think US has any disadvantages, they only have the less experienced players.
Experience and facts prove you wrong here.

One weapon that doesn't fail me when I unfortunately end up on US is: The grenade!!

All I can say... is that the F-18 sucks balls..

It is WAY too slow... the afterburners seem like they do nothing... Too much bomb spread...

        Everything.. it just sucks.

The only thing it has over the JSF is to dodge some missles....

        JSF is so much better

I dont know about shoving a F18 in where the F35 should be. I like the F35 as a ground attack jet but in the air it gets owned bad. Just jack up the turning sharpness about 8-10% and give it maybe 10-12 more seconds afterburners and people will be fine. The only thing that I think is a "bug" is when I tail a J10 in bomb mode for 5 minutes taking potshots with the cannons and waiting for him to fly straight over the airfield to reload, he does, I switch to missiles and fire all 6, he gets the alert TOO LATE, and only 1 hits. No flares, no turning, he just goes dead straight and only 1 missile connects. Even when a J10 is making a lazy turn with no burner/rudder while being pursued by an F35, desperately trying to keep up, the missiles will track him and turn off at the last second. Fix that, decrease turning radius, more afterburners=balance IMO.

I love it, it just suits my dogfighting style, which is chase, rather than surprise attacks. Its agile as F35B, slow as the MiG (stays at dstance), and it has 600 rounds of cannon ammunition.

I don't fly it that much so it's OK i guess, but it's so much better than the JSF.

LOL, I added 5 seconds to F35B and it literally felt like enernity  . I tried boosting the recovery by 10 seconds, and it recovered way too fast. Sprint recovery set to 25 seconds instead of 30 like all jets does the trick the best IMO. Control response increase across the board. Thats all done without harming what F25B is.

Just as an example. Sprint factor for F35B is 2.2, for J10 its 1.6. I tried lowering it to 1.3 and then, J10 didnt get almost any addition to its speed.

DICE HAS done their work. They just never knew that these missile changes would fvck up their original built.

                      but pitted against a J-10 it's a flying coffin.

The Abrahams is a bigger target and has a big crack between the turret and
chassis which makes it easier to hit the weakspot.

The F-35 is a joke. Prepare for a round of hangar raping against good J-10 pilots.

The F-15 has one good feature. It can climb high. Which is the only defense if
you have a Mig or SU on your a$$.

The AK-101 and the M16 has the same ammo IRL. Still the wizards at Dice
has managed to give the AK more damage. More damage and good accuracy
with both single shot and full auto = a winner.

The RPK does more damage and still has good accuracy = a winner.

Of the AT pea shooters the chinese pistol is my own favourite. The PP-19 is
                      a close second.

The M24 is a good sniper rifle but the SVD can also kill in one headshot and
                      has 10 round semi-auto.

The M4 has slightly less deviation in full auto than AK74U, but the AK has
the same or better accuracy single shot / zoomed and does more damage.
                      I prefer the AK.
The F/A 18 has a better gun-position then the J10, and its a good jet for aerial combat.

The Abrams are not any more difficult to take out with one shot then any of the others. The Type-95 is IMO the easiest to take out (but you have probably only played karkand in clanmatches?). The Abrams can aim higher, that is an advantage.

The F-35 is a joker, indeed. You probably dont know why!

The F-15 has 900 hit points, beeing able of taking 3 shots before going down, unlike ohter jets, only needing 2.

AK is more similar to the AG3, and has a 7.62 ammo. The M161A has 5.56, which goes faster, causing more damage to organs, while avoiding bones). Full-auto on AK, 3-shot burst on M16 to gain accuracy. You wil not hit anything yuu aim for with AK bursting the whole clip. The iron-sight on the AK is NOT accurate, that it is on the m16.

The RPK has a good accuracy, still not as good as the 249SAW.

PP-19 is slightly better then MP5!

At distance, M24 is superiour to SVD/Type-98. The SVD has not the same accurate scope at range as the M24. The SVD dont need this slight precice sight in CQC.

AK-74U IS better in single-mode on range then M4.

My point is: You need skill to be US. You cannot avoid playing mec/pla to get the basics, though, if skilled, US knock the **** out of mec/pla, in all ways.

Personal preferance. I prefet side-mounted MG in ATA combat myself because I fly "non-linearly" and I shake a lot.

The Abrams are not any more difficult to take out with one shot then any of the others. The Type-95 is IMO the easiest to take out (but you have probably only played karkand in clanmatches?). The Abrams can aim higher, that is an advantage.
The Abrams can aim higher, maybe, but the difference is really negligable. While its a bigger target than other tanks, it is easier to take down.

The F-15 has 900 hit points, beeing able of taking 3 shots before going down, unlike ohter jets, only needing 2.
It only took me 30 seconds to check Su-34 hitpoints- 900.

                        Missile damage is 500.

AK is more similar to the AG3, and has a 7.62 ammo.
                        AK101 doesnt.

Full-auto on AK, 3-shot burst on M16 to gain accuracy.
Fast bursting on AKs is just as good as M16s burst. Plus, in CQC AKs dominate.

You wil not hit anything yuu aim for with AK bursting the whole clip.
                        Nobody sprays at long range.

The iron-sight on the AK is NOT accurate, that it is on the m16.
Iron sights are just illustrative. AK101 iron sight is a little to the left from actual centre, but were talking about an issue spanning to 1 pixel max. This isnt a sniper rifle. This is negligable.

At distance, M24 is superiour to SVD/Type-98. The SVD has not the same accurate scope at range as the M24. The SVD dont need this slight precice sight in CQC.
Scope is bugged. Thats a fact. SVD lovers know how to aim and dominate. If you know how to aim, you will be more versatile than the M24 user.

My point is: You need skill to be US. You cannot avoid playing mec/pla to get the basics, though, if skilled, US knock the **** out of mec/pla, in all ways.
Set the same skilled players on USMC team, and USMC team gets buttraped, so whats your point?

PLA/MEC equipmet is superior to USMC equipment, fact. Skilled player dominates regardless of equipment, fact. Why argue?

Anything is better than nothing I guess but I'm not a fan of the F18 just keep shouting at the plane to blumin turn faster perhaps it's just me. Actually thinking about it J10 v F18 dogfights are dam good although the J10 will win.

I like my idea best though, but then I would say that. :)

I've played up to 4 matches a week on all maps. I would take any tank over

AK-101 uses 5.56 NATO ammunition. You can check that for yourself:

I've had no problems getting headshots with the AK at range. It also kills in
1 shot which the M16 doesn't. The full auto on the AK works well in close and
medium combat. I don't even have to use the iron sight while prone.

According to the stats I have the M249 and the RPK have the same accuracy
but more deviation is added to the M249 than the RPK per shot.

Having played some inf wars on Karkand against other clans it's amusing to

clan that lost with US wins MEC. So it ends up as who wins the most on MEC.

Looks like youre not as fast as your name implies, Wasp!

Its all facts really, Starting from map layout and objective type for teams (USMC mostly on offensive and MEC/PLA on defense), finishing up with small details.

Because, lets face it, strong offensive would offer a boring game, wouldnt it?

Shorly, noones saying that USMC equipment sucks ***, its just been said that MEC/PLA is better.

For the record, my personal favourite assault rifle in BF2 is M16, what a kicker, innit?

Try juggling VT, skype and writing a reply at the same time. I have no
favourite, I just switch kits and use whatever is appropriate. My best score
so far in a CW is 52-8 in 20min on Mashtuur using support/assault/medic/AT
                                on MEC.
