Final and Easiest Fix for J10 - F35 Imbalance

Replace the F35's with the F/A 18's in the game like the one that spawns at the airfield when the USMC team caps it.

It is a much better plane to pit agains the J10. I was in one today and avoided J10's for a while, I was also able to shoot some of them down. I was ended. I was shot down when I went straight for too long and got gunned down by a j10 who was finding me as an annoyance in the F/A 18.

Now, how hard could it be to replace the F35's with the F/A 18's? Not at all, it shouldnt take DICE more than 15min. :)

Also to prevent whoring take away the F/A 18 that spawns at the airfield.

The problem is getting them off the carrier, which has only so much room. Besides, lots of people won't be happy if a vehicle jsut disapeers. They need to fix the F-35, not remove it.

You can place the F/A 18 on the runway and rather than the platform and move the Cobra to where the F35 was so that way you wont ram into the cobra when you take off.

I landed and took off and F/A 18 from the carrier, no problem, you only need about 25% of the ship and afterburners to get the F/A 18 airborne no problem.

They wont fix the F35 because that will take too long and may cause bugs, why not just do something simple like this?

i dont know who to agree with on this one either fix or replace it i could go either way the f35 sux...
the planes dont need the whole runway on carrier either to take off...

Well for DICE, since they are so lazy and suck at making patches why not just have them do something simple like replacing and rearranging the planes on deck with ones that are already in the game anyways.

Think about how easy it is to place F/A 18 in the BF2 Map Editor.

This will not fix a problem, which is considered a BUG! You see, the inbalance comes from something DICE never saw would happen. Beacause they crated a game which they intended, in 1.0, and now with all these changes the stuff they built gets more loose and loose. Beefing F35Bs turn radius a little would cut the job. Were talking about mere 5-6% here. F35B is an EXCELLENT ATS jet, and every F35B jockey will agree with me. If DICE fixes the "bug", theres no need to change it to F18. While I agree F18 is a fair fight, it should be where it is, on land.

I have a theory why maps and such are built the way they are , and vehicles designed the way they are- USMC is designed for players who want a challenge, MEC/PLA for those who want to play with an advantage. Nothing bad really. If youre on OFFENSIVE, which USMC often is, you should play with a disadvantage.

And as such, in theory, if you seek a challenge and want to test yourself, you pick the weaker side, the USMC. If you want to play defensively, or sit back and relax, MEC/PLA is for you.

Well the thing is DICE isnt gonna do anything about changing flight dynamics so might aswell have the F35's replaced. I agree I love the F35, especially for ground attack but in the air it gets raped.

Plus F/A 18's are meant for carriers aswell. Not really just for land at all.

Oh and your theory, it seems true, but still the F35 is just way too disadvantaged.

Why should you just replace the F-35 with a F-18? That makes no sense what do you mean with easier.. Changing some things of the F-35 couldn't be hard right? They made this damn game how hard can it to change a Plane you made?

I find switching planes as a lost solution if everything fails for some reason.. They first need to fix the main problems then the other problems I hope there
will be a 1.5 Patch since I can just feel 1.4 will have things that lots and lots of people will not like.. What is mostly in the patches that are brought out by EA/DICE

Of course switching the planes is a solution but why switch if you can just change some things and then they're equal and let some top pilots discuss with the people from EA/DICE..

                  US have:

-M24, the better sniperrifle at the first ranges they meet first time, farthest from each other.

-M4, which is more presice in CQC.

-249SAW, which is more accurate then the RPK.

-M16A1, which is far more accurate then other assault-rifles.

-M1A2 Abrams, which can aim higher then Type-95.

-Blackhawk, which once was good, though less armor then Z-8.

-AH1Z Cobra, which has better manouverability, and less bugged TVG-missiles, aimable rockets.

-F15 with more armor and afterburner, more accurate bombs.

-F-18, missile dogdger and fastturning, good machinegun-placement.

-The Joint Strike Fighter (JSF), F-35.

This is not in my eyes any disadvantage. The fact people care about stats and kills, they all rush for the "easy to use" equipment/hardware.

No arguing, all MEC/PLA rifles are more easy to use then the US ones. But with aim, you can do more as US, and taking this advantage to the battlefield, also requires tactics.

The main problem IMO, is that like me, as noob; I chose US of the language, and the cool look of the Abrams (and the fact it was an Abrams), as back then where less manouverable then opositons. I think to many newbeginners prefer the US concept, even though they should start as mec/pla, to get used to weapons, how to use them, aiming-techniqes etc.

If only not as many clueless players had to make the transport-helicopters beeing freefrags, then this gameplay situation would be different.

The fact Wake Island has that F-18, is to ensure all the enemy jets will go down. Then again, the VTOL may come to effort.

I really dont think US has any disadvantages, they only have the less experienced players.

Hmm ill agree with you somewhat. But, in most situations the USMC are just out-performed in their weapons. In almost any situation id rather have an RPK over an M249 SAW. And muuuch rather an AK-101/47 over the M16. The only thing I can see the USMC actually equalling up/out-performing with is the M4, and maybe theyre shotgun over the MEC's shotty. And when it comes you armor I find things virtually equal, besides the fact i'd muuch rather have a BTR than a LAV.

Hate to break it you man, but this isn't real life. A game should be made so everyone is on a level playing field and the more skilled win, not the better equipped.

Aim, like hitting what you aim for, not in aiming in the deviation area that counts for your advantage when not aiming precisly enough

M4 is better in CQC in full-auto. AK-74U is better in singel-mode at range.

The 249SAW is much more accurate, but it doesnt seem to spread that much as of the RPK. If you cut your target like with a laserbeam, then you will find the 249SAW to be just as good or even better then RPK.

I agree that offensive CQC is better with the AK-series. But as a team, US has the advantages.

Most people find their experience from SaK. That map is really not relevant, as people enjoy getting kills by grenades. That map really states the average players joy, what they care for.

On SaK-only maps, US usually win cause one man, or even squad, care to take a flag to stop ticketbleed. If not, mec wins.

Saying that US has worse equipment is wrong, but unexperienced players find the mec/pla-weapons to be easier to handle.

This is in my eyes, also to be concidered about jets as well. It takes time, but time and patience only.

The easiest fix for the jet-balance, is a campain, to not take essential hardware one cannot handle.

There are no way US cannot contain more unexperienced players, due to the statistic of outfall of battlerounds.

There really should be, as programmed in singelplayer. If stats or rank make a player more experienced, he should, only by pressing F1 in the vehicle (read Blackhawk). taking over the pilotseat, switching the previous pilot to his old seat.

If DICE cannot implement a tutorial, or certificate/badge, then they should use one of the things they already have programmed into the game. The F1, take the pilot-seat. Btw, this is also pre-programmed in the "a player with a higher rank has apployed to be the commander."

Maybe the "jump out" in attackchoppers should stay out of this implementaisions

If pilots, as in..."dont just want to sit in a jet," acctually got the jets, then maybe the jets could get their job done, And the ones knowing how to get to shore, can safely transport their team to land, by pressing F1. As PILOTS can enage enemy jets, and get enemy choppers down. like that US will have a fair round, and likely be able to win.

Sorry folks, I dont think anybody new to this game is bad. Its just that I believe more new players tend to choose US of both language, as well as stupid camoflage and different weapons. This until they discover the automatic rifles of the oposition, so when they are a little bit experienced, choose oposition.

IMO US have the best weapons and hardware, they are just way more difficult to handle. So, dont bother go US, unless you are VERY experienced.

By experienced, I dont mean just like knowing maps etc. But also have figured out how much configurating of mouse-sensitivity and buttons will grant you as well. This comes after a while. After the period of choosing US of its language, then to mec/pla of their assaultrifles. After that you will be able to not be disadvataged by the burst from the M16A1, as you have developed aim.

The BF2 stages are: US, mec/pla, US.

Please, dont ever quote this thread so more newbeginners steal the pilotseat of the Blackhawk, unless DICE manage to impelent "rank-F1."

Cheers to EA, they challenge everything. Now, do this, and please, dont challenge my patience anymore. Thanks DICE for prioring this CTD-issue-

After 1 year of clanwars and 750+ hours public play I disagree with you on
almost all counts. The F-18 can dodge more missiles because of it's hitboxes
                            but pitted against a J-10 it's a flying coffin.

The Abrahams is a bigger target and has a big crack between the turret and
chassis which makes it easier to hit the weakspot.

The F-35 is a joke. Prepare for a round of hangar raping against good J-10 pilots.

The F-15 has one good feature. It can climb high. Which is the only defense if
you have a Mig or SU on your a$$.

The AK-101 and the M16 has the same ammo IRL. Still the wizards at Dice
has managed to give the AK more damage. More damage and good accuracy
with both single shot and full auto = a winner.

The RPK does more damage and still has good accuracy = a winner.

Of the AT pea shooters the chinese pistol is my own favourite. The PP-19 is
                            a close second.

The M24 is a good sniper rifle but the SVD can also kill in one headshot and
                            has 10 round semi-auto.

The M4 has slightly less deviation in full auto than AK74U, but the AK has
the same or better accuracy single shot / zoomed and does more damage.
                            I prefer the AK.

this is an acceptable temporary solution imo.
