yeah this really helps you when the mine is at the top of a ladder, or you don't play engineer. bring me back to the good 'ole days where a grenade or tank shell would destroy claymores.
They are still effective with FF on, you just need to make sure you are out in a field someplace, or in the enemies base. But AT mines are the reason why its like this I think, and making them destructible is a small price to pay to fix infantry combat. Then they just need to work on the nade spamming and were good, whose up for supply bags not replenishing nades?
I know this is completely off-topic but do you play stronghold 2 by any chance wolfgang? I have played against you several times in this (unless its a guy with the same name) Just wondering...
I've been thinking for sometime about an idea I think can improve snipers or engineers.
I think that snipers or engineers, one or the other or both, whatever the majority prefers, should be immune to claymore. In other words be able to run over claymores without detonating it.
Snipers would be ****ed if engineers were immune to claymores, claymore are a snipers only real defense if someone is coming in for close combat and close combat is where engineers over power pretty much every kit IMO.

so your off to cap a flag on a rooftop???
either throw your grenades properly to kill the sniper up there or let your teams snipers get them. we all know going after snipers isnt for the good of your team, its because they are one of the easiest to kill.
hello roger, kinda expected to see you going on and on and on and on again in this thread too.

um correct me if wrong but isnt that the entire point of being a sniper?

theres many flags that have ladders leading to them, especially in sf.

screw off plz?
grappling hook in special forces... no need to use ladders.
in vanilla, no need to climb ladders to get to flags
going after snipers is because a player wants a kill, its not because theyre doing it for the good of their team.
so how many ppl have you recruited today for all your wacky "improvements"

you mean my threads? none, people dont want a fair fun and realistic fight obviously. wtf is whacky about um, and for that matter, aside from claymores, is there anything else you disagree with me about?
Claymores should be trip-wire or clackers detonated, not proximity. If theres a trip wire, you can spot it, dis-arm it or detonate it by shooting it or something, even jumping over it maybe... It gives people half a chance, plus if the sniper has any sense he/she will hide it well enough that the kill/s will be worthy and they can catch people out who are trying to doge the clay. That said, the sniper will probably be concentrating on sniping rather than worrying about ambushing. The sniper can still use it as a rear guard with the trip wire but will have to be a bit more aware of someone bypassing it!
That way the clay can be used as its supposed to, as a booby trap or for ambushes etc, not a drop and forget to get a kill. Think of it like dropping c4 like mines and blowing the crap outta peeps when the get near it.
I got killed by a clay the other day whilst i was in the tank gunner position and we drove past one, how annoying was that!
but if we can easily bypass a sensored claymore with a pistol or grenade, that would promote using it as a booby trap, hiding it. what am i talking about would, i should say, did. plz check out my explosives thread, i think its probobly damn near perfect.
