Or you just suck at math...?

I have well over 100k points, almost 600 hours played and I don't even play 1.5hours/day on average. I don't know how you calculated it to 7.5 hours per day but damn you must have failed 4th grade math or something.

I have about 160k points and 720 hours. Been playing since it came out. Averages out to be about 1 hour and 45 minutes per day. Doesn't take much to get up there, if you play regularly for an extended period of time.

Jesus man your like 200 hours behind me and 45k points more! After looking at your stats your one of those Medics that shoot fear down my side on Kark blow my head off then revive your whole squad .

Its true tho I have to say, after about 500+ hours you sorta always score high and the last few ranks fly by. After that last unlock the joy of ranking up sort of weres off. Ive spiced it up by totaly refusing to use the PKM, which I whored it up with... trying to have at least 100 hours with each class and gun. Still tryign to avoid Kark, but its hard to break the blitz of infantry mixed with the scripted tactics, always a rush..and saying "ok Im home 1 round of kark to warm up then off to "insert map"
20 rounds later and 2 hours and you forgot to switch maps.

Same here I have been playing for over a YEAR and been able to enjoy my time off with balance.

And btw, how would one get good enough to score 100 pts/round unless they practiced an awful lot. Also, I guarantee I won't hear a disagreement by anyone below 2nd LT... I'd put money on it.
You guarantee wrong. I've only got 50,000 points. been playing almost 400 hours since August last year. That's not even when the game came out, that's around 1-2 months off.

Have a full time job, girlfriend, 4 other roomates, and I usually enjoy time with them. I've only played on my free times. Which is occassionally all night/day depending.

1.) It's a game, you're making a stink about nothing important at all, it's their lives, let them live it.
2.) Nobody really gives a rats *** about you're opinion of them. It's the internet, and I'm sure they won't even remember this post tomarrow 'till they look at the forums.
3.) Who are you to determine who needs what in their life anyway? Who are you to throw down stereotypes upon them of being "nerds with pimples that just game all night and are social rejects". Honestly, if you care this much about the game, maybe it's you that requires a reality check instead of criticizing people over the internet about their gaming habits.

Who gives a toss how people spend their free time.

As for me, I work full-time, and study post-grad part-time, therefore haven't got too much to spare. Perhaps I play up to 3 hours during weekends, and maybe an hour per night for weekdays. Explains my low rank and score (just got Sgt. a few days ago).

Others have different circumstances and some people just like playing games a lot. When I was a full-time university student several years ago, I used to knock off at least a couple of hours a night on games, and still had quality spare time for friends and family. Spare time is highly dependent on self-discipline and good personal management.

I couldn't help it... I scroll through some of these forums and notice that some of you have these "hour tracker" signatures saying how much time you've devoted to BF2 this week/month/year. I noticed that many of you at 2nd LT and higher play 35+ hrs/week. You do realize that pracitically qualifies as a full-time job, right? Now I see how anyone gets to a level like 1LT. Perhaps if I quit my job and just played BF2 from 7:30-4:30 (w/ a 1 hour lunch) I could possibly make it to a level like yours... Wow... Don't you have anything else to do? I mean really... Lets consider 2 scenarios...

1.) You're young and go to school from 7:30-2-ish... that leaves 2:30-11-ish (8.5hrs) on weekdays and all day Saturday and Sunday (12-15 hrs each). Thats a total of 60-70 free hours TOTAL per week. Assuming you have at least SOME homework (1 hr/day) and eat OCCASIONALLY (1.5 hrs/day) that leaves 42.5-52.5 free hours not eating/doing homework per 7 days. Dividing 35 by these numbers tells me that you devote between 66 and 82 percent of your free time playing BF2. DO YOU HAVE A LIFE??

2.) You are older and work for a living... You work a typical 9-hr shift w/ a 1-hr lunch. Lets just figure it's an 8-5 job. Assuming you don't work in a quickie before work, you can't really start playing until 5:30 at the earliest. Lets assume you go to bed by 12:30 am. That leaves 7 hrs/weekday and all day Sat and Sun. Thats a total of 60-70 total free hours. Lets assume that you eat and occasionally leave your house. For argument's sake, you eat 1.5 hrs/day and you spend at least 1 hour/day NOT playing BF2. That gives you the same scenario above...

                            My point?

If you're spending between 66 and 82 percent of your total free time playing BF2, I'm not that far off when you are sickeningly good in-game and I tell you to get a life/girlfriend/hobby (other than BF2) and you yell at me and say, "I go to school" or "I work for a living". Yeah... and other than play BF2, thats ALL you do... For your own good, please... socialize a bit... diversify your life just a tad... there's more to life than BF2.

Not a sermon... just a thought
I didnt read all your post but, I work from 7 to 6. I come home eat and most people watch tv. I play bf2, in the mornings before work I come on totalbf2.com to see whats the scoop and we got some whiny little ***** putting down higher ranked players, god man and you say we have no life lol

Most people have wifes I have a girlfriend myself which I am engaged to. I go out and drink with friends most of the weekend, and we got some guy that actually takes the time out of his day to crunch some numbers to use up some of his free time? You my friend are a retard

Ok yes I have a high rank and yes I play a lot. Now how about my scenario.

                              1. I work from 10am till about 5-6pm ( writting video games for a living ).
                              2. I get home and have a bit to eat and then have a game until maybe 2-3am.
                              3. Should I get a life and a girlfriend...ermmm I already have a misses and kids....should I spend time with them...well no you see monday to friday I live away doing my job while my other half runs her bussiness..

So you see. I have a life at weekends with my family but I have a choice during the week either play bf2 at night, watch boring tv or go out and get drunk every night...yarn got bored of that after i hit 30's.

So once again dont judge everyone because you have such a small imagination to why people could possibly play a game for so many hours.
                              what is your problem man.
everbody has his own way of living
