The real "n00b" in this knife fight was you. If you were smart you would have just killed him with a pistol, or better, a grenade, instead of letting him have a chance at you.

Well you've said it. Knife fight is just stupid, period. I don't even know how many times I've kill someone charging at me with his knife from more than 15m with my pistol. Especially those l337 snipers who think their sea weed shirt can magically repel bullets.

The worst part is, this kind of "L337" behavior will continue thru BF2142 with DICE's worst move by far when they glorify knifing with the "Dog Tag" system.

it shows how many sad little ****ers play this game when you cant even have a fair knife fight.

if you offer a knife fight and the guy trys to shoot you, bunny hop about so he misses and then decide whether you want to shoot him or knife him.

many times ive offered a fair knife fight and theyve then tried shooting at me, i make em miss and then choose what to do, the ones that then go to pistol are obviously twats and deserve to be shot at!!

yeah when i have my flashbang i usually get overrun no matter where im at all i do is just throw my bang and watch them wander in circles when i just knife them all... then when they die they all type in that i was a noob just by using my bang but they just got owned is all

if you offer a knife fight the other player either says yes or no, only a ****** would indicate or say yes and then try shooting you when they think they can get away with it.
if they say or indicate no, then carry on as you were..

its kinda a rule online players have for knife fights.

stop reading into it that its taken so seriously.. its not..

well if its not why have rules then? btw if you read above, my post says that I do follow the tradition but most of the times someone else intervenes and messes up.

I love fair knife fights and always try to start one, but they are few and far between. Some snipers will do it if you get close, but mose just lay claymores and take out the pistol.

thats awesome i woud have throwen a flashbang or nade if i hadone lol i would also use 1. main gun 2.pistol 3.flash bang 4. reload main gun while flashbang is in effect lol win everytime lol i will use whatever i have to kill the guy next to me even if that includes throwing the wrench at him

Knife duels are classic! Happens in CS all the time, when there are only 2 guys left on opposing teams. When they ask me to go somewhere to knife it out, I go there, let them come, pull out shotgun (or whatever else I have on me) and put the idiot to sleep. I mean, come on .. you're walking around with a machinegun and you want to fight with knives? Hell no..
As soon as someone proposes a duel, just blast him.
