they screw themselves by pushing the marketing so much... Every company is 1 massive failure from being yesterday's news and EA is no different.

    BF2142 will, most assuredly, rock.

I bet it gets 9+ in nearly every review...

Also, given EA's recent purchase of Mythic, I bet BF3 (which will come eventually) will be an epic MMOFPS...

    but that's just me.

max 24 players, ugly looking vehicles and characters (strogg? wtf), small scale gameplay.

You can say alot of things bad with BF2 and its bugs, but damn, Quake Wars just looks horrible.

They got one good feature in that game, the allowing or disallowing of others into your vehicle.

Enemy Territory gamemode is something Battlefield stries (strived) for and has failed myserably. So myserably that its Conquest gamemode is a total failure. Unless they purposely created this gamemode to throw players around the map, thus creating a lone wolf mentality in more than half of the players minds in the server. I mean, really...

Enemy Territory, although not my favourite game, FORCIBLY creates the need for teamwork and working for an objective. Otherwise you just wont win the game. It also creates the need to "win" the game by alternate team/time. This creates rivalry in team level, which ding ding ding (consultant LOL) creates teamwork.

Im not saying that ET is better, but it sure has better concept when we take teamwork as a measure.

I guess DICE saw a lot of where they failed in betatests. This junk that you all cry for, would only work well in Single Player... Because quite frankly, if people dont know to THIS DATE, how to use T and Q properly, then WTF do you expect from them when they need to navigate in a 40+ item comm channel?

Log in to a random server, right now, and watch how people play. Then think about it, and think hard, would the stuff that DICE created really work, or would they just be "pretty" and "resource consuming"? If youre a developer, of any kind, if you want to create something and you have ideas, always assume people are DUMB, STUPID and most of all... LAZY and SELFISH. While YOU might not be DSLS, I have to assume you are. Why else is there a KISS rule? (Keep it simple stupid).

Why else do people value TacticalGamer so much? Because what DICE has created now, is enforce there, plus extras. Take your random pub, and its nothing as it was supposed to be.

Dont diss DICE just because they rightfully anticipated their efforts being wasted in the overly complicated game. Not to mention, I thank them every day, because I got to play the game on my system that meets minimum requirements. And I had a good time while doing so.

Guess I'll repeat myself, go do your research before commenting.

24 players is not the max, its been stated a million times that server owners can set there servers to as many players as they like.

Ugly? I've had a number of people say its similar to the Source engine only better.

Small scale gameplay? if you mean that battles are more focused towards a common goal and there's less lone wolfing then yes.

Is it just me, or does this version LOOK so much better, brighter, not so dirty and brown like the one we have?

Guys this isn't the first game to do this... They have a deadline as much as the next guy and much of it was cut out because of time constraints, bad game playability (i.e - toning down weapons, much like they are doing now because people think they are overpowered.) or not enough manpower for testing... Companies can and will continue ot make mistakes thats why they try to make it up to the community by offering BETAs or free content (Maps, vehicles etc.)

Amazing. That's exactly the way I've felt about BF2 since I first discovered TG.
If you're plaing on a public server or even a clan-based with teamspeak you're still only getting a fraction of what the game is capable of offering. (IMHO)

Someone suggested in another thread that spec-ops should be able to paint targets for planes to bomb. On the TG server I just let my squad leader know, via VoIP, that there's armour in our path, he calls the commander for help, we spot the tanks and the commander get's the jet squad to back us up. From the moment you first see the tanks it generally only takes 30 seconds before they're gone.

ET forces someone to be engineers to get that damn tank repaired. No engineers = no win.
BF2 allows you to choose which is a good thing I suppose but sometimes I long for the ET style of play

Your license statement is comparable to going to a car dealership under the assumption that you are leasing a Cadillac that is fully loaded because the commercials said so (even in the small print) and them handing you the keys to a Metro and saying 'You never purchased the vehicle, you leased it'. Get real.

And for the ******* with the EULA statement, you agree to the EULA after you purchased it. So you expect to get the product as it was advertised.

Well I would think if you saw a Cadillac in the commercial and you get into a Metro and still purchase it, then you'd be the fool.

I bought BF2 based on the franchise, not looking at the cover of a book, something you should never do.

I clearly said that 'handed you the keys to a Metro instead and saying 'You never purchased it, you leased it'. Meaning it was already paid for and they switched out the cars, a little more clear now?

I had BF42 and BFV. I got what I expected out of them based on what I had seen. I also bought BF2 based on the fact that BF42 was decent and BFV wasn't all that bad, I had also bought based on all the previews. Would you honestly go to a dealership of your favorite car manufacturer and say 'I'm here to purchase a car in this price range, just give me anything you have on the lot, I had this brand of car before so I am sure it will be everything I hope it to be.', I don't think so.

Honestly now, you can't possibly be so gullible that you believe in advertisement or that you make your desicions on what to buy based only on ads?
