    The Game I Supposedly Purchased?

Is this the same game that I and everyone else purchased or did we get ripped off? Note the trailer is from E3 from 2005.

Guys at the POE forums are putting together a detailed list of things that were obviously not coded into the final product for one reason or another. It's a good read and covers BF2, SF, EF, and AF

What did you expect? they have a very very long EULA for a reason its ensure they can not be blamed for anything at all basically you game them $50 and they promised nothing in return except of course the EULA.

Its how company's like EA work and its one of the main reasons I am now avoiding there games, not that its going to be hard there are plenty of much better titles in the works. Two examples are GPG's Supreme Commander which will be far superior than EA's C&C3 which will be coming out (nothing more then a TS remake), and SD's ET:QW which again will be better than BF2142.

One thing you will notice (if you look) is games like SupCom and ET:QW are moving the gaming industry forward both have implemented new technology and new ideas and that's what's needed by developers, All you see and all you will ever see from EA is the same old technology that proven to get them a few dollars, they don't make anything new and never have they see a small developer with a good idea and the buy them out and push 3,4,5-6 more titles of the exact same game out as fast as possible once there dried out the small dev company that used to be no longer exists.

And this isn't made up stuff you can look it up on the internet this is how EA operates.

Sorry for the long post, but its appropriate.

Funny, the old interface screenshots look a lot like BF2142's.

Im very surprised that you guys have'nt mentioned Frontlines Warfare, the title being developed by frank Delise and other former members of Trauma Studios slated for release in fall of 2007. Have you guys at least taken a look at it?

Back on top here, Eden I see your point but I am merely orchestrating that a few things happened where as we as BF2 players could of been offered alot more content than what is apart of the game right now but we don't. It also proves a theory that perhaps EA really did rush this game out even though it was initially delayed for that June release.

We could debate for hours why all of the extra content was'nt added but the bottom line is I don't think we purchased exactly what was offered to us.

You never purchased the game, you purchased a license to play the game.

He's saying you don't own the game, you only own a lisence to play the game. EA still own the rights to the game and can change what they will. You only have a lisence to operate one copy of the software.

Re: The Game I Supposedly Purchased?

its unfortunate how EA works, just think of how much better BF2 could have been(dont get me wrong I love the game and play it for hours upon hours)

yet, the OP's post just shows what BF2 would have been like if Trauma studios wasnt sacked, Im curious to see what they took with them as they left. Ive heard rumours that when they left they took a sh*t load of there inovations with them, leaving the game unbalanced and incomplete..than Dice tried to pick up the pieces for a release.

Its too bad, I would have liked to see Trauma's BF2, not Dice's.

Frontlines will be an awsome game for sure

Why did they sack the trauma people? They should have sacked the sackers of the trauma people.

I didnt see it anywere posted on PoE but i think they forgot the hover craft in the list . They (EA) were still advertising the hovercraft as being part of the game at least 8 months after its release even though it was never in the game.
