I rarely tk, & when I do tk I realize that I pulled the trigger, & should have use greater care NOT BLAME THE VICTIM, & I deserve it if they punish

In the extremely rare instance that I get assigned a tk, that I didn't commit, or some 1 basically killed themselves on my vehicle, & they punish it is just funny, because it will never happen enough to effect my score, or get me kicked

Look me up I tk 1 in 25-30 kills, & fly, & command often

You guys complain about ppl punishing for you tk'n them, & it being therir fault, & when you describe the circumstances in greater detail it emerges that you 99% of the time you are indeed @ fault, or were being careless

But it is typical for kids to think they are always right

You say you rarely tk, yet not a paragraph later you state "1 in 25-30 kills is a TK" thats quite the ratio for someone who in an earlier post said "Maybe if you stop Tking you can get 6 GCM's Like me". I by the way have more like a 1 in 100-150 tk ratio (Yes I fly and command, Tankwhoe, infantry, etc.) so getting punished for it is simply stated ignorant, since you are such a consumate TKer I would imagine you are used to it so you wouldnt understand.

EvilZ, you're right. It is a common misconception, despite all the discussion to the contrary, that punishing results in additional negative score. It does not.

Your conclusion, since it doesn't affect one's score AND one more than likely isn't going to accidently TK enough to get kicked, it should be no problem. No one should fret about being "wrongfully" punished for a TK. Right? What you're MISSING is that some people have a stronger sense of right and wrong, fair and unfair than others. Sure, we're talking about a video game here whose results don't mean ANYTHING; however, some people still don't like to be unfairly accused much less PUNISHED for something they had no control over, or worse yet, was the other person's FAULT! From the number of threads there are on these forums and others, MANY folks get frustrated by it. It's real. You are also right though on the bottom line...getting frustrated does no good. People should not let this ruin their gameplay. Just accept it exists, try to laugh about it if you can and move on. :)

The problem is most kids (& a lot of adults) never think ANYTHING is their fault, so they never improve their behavior

No way, I run into more "veterans" who jump in my way and they punish for it, I ran into Admins that punished then kicked me for hitting there chopper, I was in a jet and I was chasing another one and the other guy was flying low so I went low and all of the sudden this chopper just starts rising up with guys in it, I end up ramming (accidentley ramming) and killing two guys and they punish then kicked me out of their server.

I am sorry you don't like it. All I said was the TRUTH that you don't lose points when you get punished and that the system works pretty well because NOONE, despite my many inquiries, has ever admitted to getting kicked often because of accidental TKs.

I REALLY think that a lot of people get upset by it because of negative association. Most people, including myself, believed at the start that it affected your score. This makes them mad when it happens. However, I think if people realized that it DIDN'T make a difference, this negative association wouldn't develop. That is why I get so annoyed when people come on here and tell people that it hurts their score.

simple.

If I get teamkilled, the offender has until I respawn (10-15 seconds!) to hit Q and say 'sorry'. if they don't - they get punished. Unless of course it is a noob standing in front of my jet/tank/jeep. They get punished right away.

i don't punish as a rule but some people do need to get kick for teamkilling and it always seems that there on a server that doesn't let you punish for a teamkill. i let the noobs get away with killing me. but there's guys out there that are working for the other team and TK to help them out. i've been TK quite a few times trying to save a flag or take a flag.
