We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Yea, I dont have anything against you personally, but its that type of thing that really gets me mad, lol, but seriously it angers me, what CPU do you have?
You just made yourself a bigger moron the us.
a game with 40 fps ALL THE TIME is totally smooth. The problem is that fps isn't so stable, so an average of 50 fps can be 20fps to 80 fps, so u sometimes might get lags.
People say that the more fps u got the better gaming experience, that's because the chances the fps will decre
ase to below 30 with an average of 200 are very low. As long as your fps doesn't go below 40, you are all set. But it won't happen to you if you have an average of 50, cuz always there are smoke grenades or massive explosions that cause a fps decrease.
Let me try to explain this is proper English: You are saying that a game that runs with high fps does not always run at a constant rate. That is true. You said that if you havea high end system, chances of fps drop below 30 is rare. That is also true.
And lastly, you say that if you average 50, it will drop below 30 since it is not a high average above it.
So what does this have to do with how many fps the human can detect? Why do you say i am a moron when you didn't disprove anything i said? Your post has nothing to do with mine. You should seriously learn how to type right, you seem like a little kid with that kind of response. Or English is not your main language.
to show fps you can download the free version of fraps or type this in console, renderer.showfps 1 or renderer.drawfps 1 cant remember which one i use fraps myself.

did you read my link ? about fps the human eye can detect??
No offense and not to sound ungrateful for the help, but if you read my sig and see that I built my own machine and volt modded my gpu, then you'd probably assume (and correctly so) that I know how to manage my drivers and do the proper maintenance to both windows and the game.
I recall seeing that the earlier 7900GTs had a poor HS design on most vendors' designs. I am not sure if you got yours when they first game out, but that could be an issue. Also, there could be a BIOS update for your 7900GT. My 7800GT had some issues, and a BIOS revision helped. Now I am on a 7900GT and I have not seen much problem, but I think mine game in the second wave.
this seems abit much to do just to clean my drivers ?
( im lazzy if you didnt notice lol )
ATI:
1. Unplug nic card or modem from net or disconnect
2. Remove ATI driver from add/remove programs then remove the control panel from add/remove programs
3. Reboot into safe mode (F8 during boot up)
4. On reboot into safe mode WinXP SP1/SP2 will auto detect and install drivers. Just let it do its thing. If you can cancel out of the auto install hardware wizard then skip the rest and run Driver Cleaner! If you can NOT cancel out of auto detect wizard then...
5. Navigate to device mgr->display adapter->uninstall and/or remove ATI display adapter but do not reboot
6. Disable any AntiVirus Software (If you don't disable is than it could give trouble)
7. Run Cab Cleaner (not needed, but recommended)
8. Run Driver Cleaner
9. Empty recycle bin and reboot
10. Install the new drivers and control panel
I'm running BF2 on an AMD 3500+ Venice with a 7900GT as well.
I could max everything out in the demo and get very playable framerates. But now that I've recently purchased the game and updated to 1.3, I have to rock bottom my settings or else it gets super jumpy and choppy (online and offline.)

This was posted in this thread lol people are so dum lol
I have a AMD643700+ , 1GB corsair paired sticks, Gainward 6800GT 256 a nice meaty 12v rail amp PSU, running most things high and AA set to 4 times at 1280X1024 and rarly drop below 60FPS - never ever have a FPS problem even in the most crowded fights and explosions etc.
I would do the basics.
Fresh Image of XP pro with SP2 and patches.
New Forceware drivers.
Virtural Memory at a fixed size of double your installed RAM on a seprate Fast HDD
Latest MB Drivers, sound etc
Clean Install of BF2, download a new patch of 1.3 aswell, re patch. fire up and try all setting on med and no AA on a 1024x768 res with full view dis.
You should get silly high FPS on that, if not , check memory timings and AGP/PCI-E settings in the BIOS and if your still not getting anyware, put the 6800 back in and if the problem goes away, check the PSU ampage on the 12V rail or the 7800 is goosed and needs replacing.
I am going to try my friends new PSU in a few days. I have everything updated and new. I get 100fps in open areas, but in battles it is rediculously choppy.
