It's so funny!
On Road to Jalalabad map, I am USMC, trying to cap a flag, when here it comes a MEC. We shoot at each other, but nothing happens, except dust is coming out.
I hop in a TOW and start shooting at him. It works!
A medic comes trying to revive him. Then more MEC guys are coming, but who cares, only I have a working weapon. They were trying to knife me, shoot me, C4 me, nothing worked, while I was chasing them around with the TOW. :laugh:
Eventually I blow myself out with that thing.
Tanks however are fully functional.

Here's something to note:

Anything but knives and tanks is totally ****ed, you fire but the information isn't relayed to the server. Ammo automatically goes back to a full clip, grenades, c4 or mines disappear.

Information is somehow failing to reach the server

No not lag. I am in the US (central) and on a us server. Try it. Stupid crazy. EA has to be doing something. But why change the code on the servers and leave the same version coded as 1.4 Beta 2 so that when people log in this crazy stuff happens.

I don't understand why this is happening. It is just nuts you have to try it and you will see it is not lag.

Hah, you're right I stand (er sit) corrected.

I couldn't go prone, and when I tried to direct my AT rocket towards a target it just flew straight, you couldn’t turn it.

edit: the version of the server matches the client (beta 2 2940.772), I checked. otherwise you wouldn't be able to connect to the server.

I haven't played the 1.4 beta2 in a week or so but when I did play on the US or EU servers it ran fine for me. Beta 2 was a improvement over the first beta as far as lag which was my only issue. But then again I was testing Windows Vista build 5384 and may had some thing to do with the lag. Currently I am running Vista Build 5472 and BF2 runs alot better, no major lag.

Not sure if running the Vista build(s) has any thing to do with not getting CTD but I've only had one or maybe two CTD since testing Vista with 1.3 or either of the 1.4 betas.
