Dice just needs to scrap the idea of another patch. Leave the game the way it is, remove the vehicle drop completly, and lets move on. Dice has messed up BF2 more than helped it with all these patches. Dice needs to add some free maps to make up for all the crap we have had to put up with that then make it official, that no further patches will be released.

I thought BF2 was going to die from old age, instead its getting murdered by EA/Dice. If this patch totally screws up BF2, I'm going straight back to Novalogic games.

Actually you are right about the prone thing. You go prone and then immediately go up again. But the weapons are working.

Well i sure hope they got that one fixed, because i hate being sniper and getting zoomed out of my scope whenever i zoom in.

Right now BF2 is playable.

With all the CTD's and server crashes? Hardly.

I will vouch for this.

I was there! Handheld weapons (including knives) don't do damage. You could knife someone over and over and over again... Unlimited nades that dissapear from the ground and go right back into your inventory. Same with C4 and all other explosives, and medpacks too. Eryx doesn't require reloading, so you can rapid fire (still no damage though). All sorts of strange things.

All Europe servers were down at the time...

I know at least one guy caught a FRAPS video of all this so it should come out soon.

This happened to me when i was on a 1.3 server...server needed to restart, then it was all OK again.

Everyone revert back to 1.22 and call it good.

I suspect some heavy changes are going on right now in server's net code, so let's wait for a beta 3 instead of making fun of the situation. :)

I hope this is what is going on. I tried two US EA Beta 2 servers and the same problem. All the European servers are gone.

The only Beta 2 that seemed to be working correctly was the ABR test server.

they havent even fix the server browser. when i try to log in in a server, the server info wont show up

So still no word from EA/Dice....

You know most companies would at least let you know what's going on. If they'd come out and say, hey, we're doing this it might screw everything up for a while, but in the end this is our goal...I would accept it. But as for the 1.4 servers right now. All I have to say is WTF!

The is the same exact effect I got when I played on the UK servers from the US, it's called LAG plain and simple.

You guys from the UK will just have to wait till 1.4 final to play the game proper.

No not lag. I am in the US (central) and on a us server. Try it. Stupid crazy. EA has to be doing something. But why change the code on the servers and leave the same version coded as 1.4 Beta 2 so that when people log in this crazy stuff happens.

I don't understand why this is happening. It is just nuts you have to try it and you will see it is not lag.
