In rare cases that you survive long enough that you have to resort to your pistol, or you are a sniper and you run into any other kit at close range..wouldn't it be better if the pistol was a more viable weapon than it is now?

You are wanting the pistol to be a "main battle weapon"... It is not, nor will it ever be! It is for emergency use only.. and you should NOT expect to survive against a machine/sub-machine gun.

You can say that just about the same for all the other weapon.The game should be one shot one kill. or at least you have to limp if you get shot

Whoa, well, you know your not really supposed to get into the thick of it when another kit, I don't think a sniper should be carrying a hand-cannon DesertEagle with them. They are outfitted correctly in my book. Not sure what your doing wrong with the pistol, but I think when I have to pull it out, I am just fine, besides, if it really comes down to pulling out the pistol at too close of range, I am just going to get the knife out.

its accuracy is barely affected by stance, and aim for the chest and the recoil just takes it up inot the head, getting expert pistol was a mammoth task for me but the pistols on this game are quite good and once you have the practice with them you can be a brilliant soldier using great combos like pistol and shotty.

I like it. I think the USMC pistol is easier to use than both the PLA and MEC pistols, although I think that's only because the iron-sights are tough to use.

Just yesterday I killed a guy with my USMC pistol while he was shooting at me with his G3. It's great because it's accurate and fires as quickly as you can press your mouse button.

Ya, pretty much all my pistol kills are in firefights with a cocky G3 or G36E that did not realize that I can tap that trigger like a MoFo and drop them in three clicks. The pistol F***s people in this game, with no remorse.

Yup getting used to the pistol is a good thing if your using the G3, when you run out of rounds in the middle of CQC, it realy can fire fast.

The only problem I have is the funky ironsights with the silenced pistol when zoomed in. Aiming with the pistol is a breeze when I'm engineer class. Firing the silenced pistol as sniper always feels awkward. If I'm a sniper, and someone's that cloes, I win every time if they don't see me, and close to 75% of the time if they do.

The pistol is just a few simple steps. When you use it, zoom. Always. The deviation is majorly adjusted. Unzooomed, by the third shot you can't hit the broad side of a barn, and that's three shots short of a kill. Personally, I unload my clip on them. If there's more enemies close enough for your pistol, you're dead anyways, so it's best to just take who you can down.

Ok first off, I do not want the pistol to be a main battle weapon, all I was thinking of was it doing a little more damage. One other thing I can't help but laugh at is that Sars99 says "the pistol in CQB in the right hands wins hands down." Pistol at close range against a DAO-12...someone is going to get owned and it isn't the DAO-12 guy.

Damn no its much better, I rarely used to use the Pistol. I had like 90 pistol kills, in the last week I've got like 40 kills with it or something. I have used it alot, hell I was AT and I don't have the P90 and the DAO isn't exactly the best for big maps, I was on OMAN, and the SMG (MP5) isn't exactly very accurate or damaging, so I killed this one guy who had an AK-101 with the Pistol, I seem to have improved alot on movement, dodging bullets (No not prone spamming or bunny hoping etc) which helps alot when using the pistol.

since when did one whole team carry DAOs???

and let me rephrase it slightly then just to keep you happy.
